β¨π Year 11 Prom 2026 πβ¨
Β
What a wonderful evening celebrating our Year 11 students at their Prom, held at Sandown last Friday. π
Β
The students looked absolutely incredible, arriving in a stunning array of dresses, suits and outfits, ready to mark the end of an important chapter in their school journey. It was lovely to see everyone come together to celebrate their achievements, friendships and memories made over the years.
Β
The evening was filled with laughter, dancing and smiles, creating memories that we hope will last a lifetime. Most importantly, our students were a credit to themselves, their families and the school. Their behaviour throughout the evening was exceptional, and we could not have been prouder of the maturity, kindness and respect they showed.
Β
Prom was a beautiful celebration of everything they have achieved, and it was a privilege to share such a special occasion with them. We wish all of our Year 11 students the very best for the future and look forward to seeing all that they go on to accomplish.

Competing in doubles, Layla and her partner delivered an incredible performance, progressing through tough matches and facing strong seeded opponents along the way. After a series of impressive wins, they went on to take victory in a thrilling final πͺ
One of the standout moments came in a nail-biting match that went to a deciding point, with Layla securing the win by the narrowest of margins, showing fantastic resilience and determination under pressure π

π¦π A Very Special Two Weeks ππ¦
Over the past two weeks, our students have had the wonderful opportunity to observe duck eggs hatch and watch the ducklings grow during their first days of life.
The project was designed to help students learn about the hatching process and early stages of development, bringing science to life in a memorable and engaging way. From patiently waiting for the eggs to hatch to seeing the ducklings become more confident each day, it has been a fascinating experience for everyone involved. β¨
The ducklings quickly became very popular visitors around the school, and students absolutely adored the opportunity to interact with them. There were lots of smiles, excitement and curiosity as students learned about caring for the ducklings and observed their behaviour up close. π₯°
Experiences like these provide valuable hands on learning opportunities while also creating special memories that students will remember for years to come.
We know the ducklings will be missed, but we feel incredibly lucky to have shared this journey with them. ππ¦

π§β¨ Year 7 Interhouse Bake Off! β¨π§
Β
Our Year 7 students recently took part in a fantastic Interhouse Bake Off, and what an afternoon it was! π©βπ³π¨βπ³
Β
Two students from each form group were selected to represent their house in a baking challenge with a twist. Students were provided with ingredients and a set of instructions to follow, but there was one catch... they had no idea what they were actually making! π€π°
Β
To make things even more challenging, key words and clues had been redacted from the recipe, meaning students had to carefully follow the instructions, trust the process and work together to figure things out as they went along. There were plenty of laughs, surprised reactions and moments of confusion as the mystery slowly unfolded! πβ¨
Β
It was wonderful to see students embracing the challenge, demonstrating excellent teamwork and getting fully involved in the competition. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and friendly rivalry as houses battled it out to create the best final product.
Β
A huge well done to everyone who took part. You represented your houses brilliantly and made the event such a fun and memorable experience. ππ

π Student Spotlight π
A huge well done to Ava B in Year 7 for an incredible fundraising achievement π
Ava completed an amazing 50km walk across two days to raise money for a community enterprise supporting young people with diabetes. This cause is especially meaningful to her, as it has helped one of her close friends. π
Not only that, Ava also organised her own raffle and cake sale in her local community, raising an impressive Β£700 so far! π§ποΈ
What a fantastic example of determination, kindness, and community spirit. We are so proud of you, Ava! π

What an incredible day at Thorpe Park with our Year 10s! π
From start to finish, it was filled with laughter, excitement, and plenty of screaming on the rides π‘π It was such a great opportunity for students to bond, make memories, and simply enjoy themselves after all their hard work this past year.
Trips like this are so important, giving students the chance to relax, connect, and celebrate everything theyβve achieved together π
We had the best time, and we really hope they did too! β¨
