A Touch of Magic in Southborough’s Successful 2026 GCSE results!!!

Southborough High School is delighted to celebrate another year of exceptional GCSE achievements. Warmest congratulations to all of our students, whose hard work and dedication have been rewarded with well-deserved exam success.

Among the many outstanding individual performances, student Alfie—a member of the prestigious Young Magicians’ Club and the 2025 Young Close-Up Magician of the Year—really pulled something special out of the hat, so to speak, achieving a remarkable string of top Grade 9 results! Following his A Levels and university studies, Alfie plans to pursue a career as a professional magician!

This spirit of excellence was reflected across the entire cohort. We extend our sincere gratitude to our parents, carers, teachers, and Support Staff, whose unwavering support enabled our students to achieve their full potential.
Sixth Form enrolment commenced today with strong demand and will continue on Wednesday, 2nd September. This academic year, we are also proud to launch our new T Level in Management & Administration, a high-value qualification equivalent to three A Levels in size.

🎉As an inclusive Sixth Form, we couldn't be prouder of the incredible focus, hard work, and determination shown by every single one of our students. Seeing them secure their first-choice university places, top apprenticeships, and exciting first jobs is an absolute joy!

🎓 Top-tier Destinations: Angus, Madhav, Jeffrey, and Hamza swept up a string of As and A* grades, securing coveted places at Cambridge University, Queen Mary University, King's Medical School, and St George's Medical School!

💪 An Inspiring Journey: A truly special shout-out goes to Rio! After battling back from a serious acquired brain injury a few years ago, Rio returned to his studies with us, worked tirelessly, and has now earned a well-deserved place at St Mary's University to study Sport and Exercise Science. What an incredible achievement!

Just last month, Southborough students were on Centre Court at Wimbledon.

This week, our students from Years 7–13 are on Centre Court at the World Premier Padel Championships at Kensington Olympia, meeting some of the world’s best padel players.

Our Home was delighted to celebrate the wonderful students from Southborough High School, recognising their hard work, kindness and dedication throughout the year. 💙

As the students made their final visit of their school year, Home Manager Helena gave a heartfelt speech to thank them for the positive difference they have made to life around the Home. From lending a helping hand to spending quality time with residents, their enthusiasm and compassion have created many special memories, whilst growing their own confidence. 👏

The speech was met with a well-deserved round of applause from residents, who were thrilled to show their appreciation for everything the students have done. Their visits have brought smiles, laughter and meaningful connections, highlighting the value of bringing generations together. 😊
