💭 WHAT I WISH I KNEW… 💭
As pre-season gets underway and we start looking ahead to the new netball season in September 🏐✨, it’s the perfect time to talk about the things we wish we’d known sooner.
Think back to when you first started playing netball…
👉 What’s something you wish someone had told you?
Maybe it’s about:
🩸 Playing netball on your period
👙 Finding the right sports bra
🥗 Nutrition & fuelling your body
💪 Strength, recovery & injury prevention
🧠 Confidence & mental wellbeing
📈 Puberty & changes to your body
😴 Sleep & recovery
💗 Body image & feeling comfortable in your own skin
🏐 Balancing netball with school, work, family & life
✨ Or something completely different you’ve learned along the way!
Complete the sentence in the comments: 👇
💬 “I wish I knew that…”
It could be something that would have helped your younger netball self feel more confident, comfortable, supported or prepared. ❤️
And if you’re a coach, parent or older player, we want to hear from you too!
Let’s share the things we’ve learned so the next generation of netballers don’t have to figure it all out on their own. 🫶
There’s lots of advice, information and support available through NetballHER, covering female health and wellbeing. 🏐💗

Vigor.Rugby announces Canterbury of New Zealand and Pentland Sponsorship of Vigor.Rugby All School Games
Vigor.Rugby is delighted to announce a new partnership with Canterbury of New Zealand and Pentland, who will be supporting the Vigor.Rugby All School programme and its mission to bring more opportunities to play rugby directly into local schools.
This will help create more opportunities for children and young people to experience rugby in their schools, whether they are taking their first steps into the sport through tag rugby or progressing into contact rugby.
This partnership is about much more than sponsoring rugby games.
Both Vigor.Rugby and Canterbury is committed to helping schools have the equipment and resources they need to teach and develop rugby, helping make the sport more accessible to pupils and teachers alike. By supporting schools with the right equipment, the programme will allow more pupils to learn the fundamentals of rugby, develop their skills and, most importantly, enjoy being active and part of a team.
Through the Vigor.Rugby All School programme, schools will have greater opportunities to host and take part in rugby activities, giving pupils the chance to play more regularly in a familiar school environment.
Whether it is a pupil picking up a rugby ball for the first time, a class enjoying a game of tag rugby, or young players developing their skills through contact rugby, the aim is simple: to give more children the opportunity to play rugby.
The support of Canterbury of New Zealand and Pentland will help Vigor.Rugby build on its work with local schools and create a sustainable pathway for young people to get involved in the sport.
With the backing of Canterbury of New Zealand and Pentland, Vigor.Rugby All School will continue working with local schools to grow participation, encourage new players and help develop the next generation of rugby players.
More schools. More opportunities. More rugby.
