Southmoor has successfully achieved the Skills Builder Gold Award from the The Skills Builder Partnership! After having achieved the Silver Award in 2021, and then the Gold Award in 2023 for the first time, we are proud to be awarded the Gold Award again for the second time, which is valid for another 3 years.

This is a fantastic achievement and this recognition celebrates our commitment to building essential skills like Teamwork, Leadership, Problem Solving, and Creativity across every year group and subject area. It is a testament to the dedication, passion and commitment of all our students in developing their essential skills in preparation for a successful future. These skills are associated with positive life outcomes, as well as higher levels of literacy, numeracy and academic attainment.

Through all subject lessons and our Aspire and Achieve programmes, students have developed these skills, reflected on their progress and had the opportunity to use them when meeting employers, businesses, taking part in work experience, trips, mock interviews, careers interviews as well as using them during social time at school and in the community.

What a morning! Our Class of 2026 returned to Southmoor to collect their GCSE results, and there were smiles, celebrations, hugs and plenty of proud moments! 💙

We’re incredibly proud of the determination, resilience and hard work our students have shown throughout their Southmoor journey. Their results are a fantastic reflection of that commitment. 👏

Even more excitingly, a record number of students will be continuing their journey with us at Southmoor Sixth Form! 🎉

GCSE Results Day – Good Luck, Year 11!
The wait is almost over! 🎓

We’re excited to welcome our Southmoor Academy Year 11 students back to school this Thursday at 10am, when GCSE results will be released in the Main Hall.

We know how much hard work, dedication and determination you have put into your studies, and we’re incredibly proud of everything you have achieved.

Good luck to all our Year 11 students! 🌟 Our staff will be on hand to celebrate with you, answer any questions and support you as you take your next steps.

Enrolment to the Sixth Form at Southmoor will take place immediately after the release of results at 10am for those students who will be joining us for sixth form.

We can’t wait to see you on Thursday! 💙

Congratulations to our incredible Class of 26 on receiving their A Level results this morning! 🎉

Tomorrow is A Level Results Day!

For A Level results, the school is accessible from 7.30am for UCAS support, with results being issued from 8.00am. AS Level results will be issued from 12.00 noon.

All results will be issued in the main school hall this year and not in the sixth form as usual.
