🎨🌺 6MH have been getting creative! 🌺🎨

This week, 6MH have been learning all about the incredible Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and exploring some of her most famous paintings. 🖌️🇲🇽

They have been looking closely at her distinctive style, colours and use of symbolism before creating their own artwork inspired by her amazing portraits. 🖼️✨

Some of our Year 4 children have been rocking out in their latest Rocksteady session! 🎶🥁🎤

5CG have been investigating the difference between melting and dissolving this afternoon! 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

They explored what happens to different materials and discussed how melting is a change of state, while dissolving happens when a substance mixes into a liquid. 🧊💧

We’ve been using DreamBox Maths to support our children as they develop their mathematical understanding. 🧠✨

DreamBox works alongside the children as they learn, identifying any gaps in their understanding and helping them revisit important concepts when needed. Rather than simply giving them the answer, it encourages them to reason, problem-solve and work things out for themselves. 💭👏🏼

It’s brilliant to see the children persevering with tricky problems, developing their mathematical thinking and, most importantly, growing in confidence! 🌟

🌿💙 Playtime adventures in 3AW! 💙🌿

3AW absolutely love heading outside at playtime and making the most of our amazing outdoor area! 🥰 Whether they’re climbing, exploring, building, chatting with friends or getting stuck into imaginative games, there’s always plenty going on! 🌳🪵🛝

It’s lovely to see the children using their creativity, working together and, most importantly, having lots of fun! 💙✨

Year 5 have had a special visit from Reverend Emma for their RE lessons 🙌

The children had lots of fun bringing different Bible stories to life through acting and drama. 🎭 They really enjoyed getting into character, working together and exploring the stories in a fun and engaging way.

They’ve been working incredibly hard on their colour blocking in Art, creating some fantastic pieces! 🖌️✨

After all that hard work, they still managed to find some time to slow down, relax and enjoy a nice book in our beautiful library. 📖💙

🎲 Games Night at After School Club! 🎲

Did you know that each night at our After School Club has a different theme? Tonight was Games Night! 🥳

The children had lots of fun working together to try and get the ball into the hole in the parachute! 🪂⚽ It was harder than it looked and definitely required plenty of teamwork, communication and a little bit of luck! 😂👏

A brilliant evening of fun and games! 💙
