I just wanted to share some information with you from Just Let Your Soul Grow, they are running a number of free community events this summer and would welcome anyone who wants to get involved!

📢 Supporting a Positive Return to School 📢

As we prepare for the new school year, we know that some children and young people may feel worried or anxious about returning to school after the summer holidays.

South Tyneside and Sunderland’s Mental Health Support Team are offering a free online session for parents and carers, providing practical advice and strategies to help support children with back-to-school worries and anxiety.

⏰ Time: 6:00pm – 6:30pm
💻 Online via Microsoft Teams

This is a great opportunity to gain helpful tips, ask questions, and learn ways to support your child’s emotional wellbeing as they transition back into school routines.

Calling all budding singers — this one’s for you! 💙🎵🎤🎶

Aged 7 to 18 and love to sing? Come and join us on Tuesday 4th August @artscentrewashington to sing and record our song 'Sunderland Sings Together'. The song was cowritten by Sunderland Youth Choir and @calumhowardmusic for our annual 'Sunderland Sings' event at @sunderland_empire Thanks to @musiccity.uk for helping to make it happen!

The official photos from the Premier League Primary Stars competition at Wolves have now been shared!

What an incredible opportunity for our Year 5/6 football team, who had the chance to play on a Premier League pitch while proudly representing our school in Sunderland AFC strips.

It was a truly memorable experience for all involved, and we are incredibly proud of the team for their enthusiasm, sportsmanship and effort throughout the day. ⚽🔴⚪

What a wonderful way to end the school year! While every one of our pupils deserves an award, today we recognised a number of pupils with special awards for their outstanding achievements.
We are so proud of each and every child and all they have accomplished this year. Congratulations to our winners and well done to all our amazing pupils! 👏🏆💙

Tomorrow, we say a fond farewell to Mrs Maddison, a truly wonderful teaching assistant and a valued member of our Saint Mary family.
Over the years, she has nurtured, supported, and cared for so many children with kindness, patience, and compassion, making a lasting difference to their lives. Year 5 have loved having her with them this year and are grateful for all the encouragement and support she has given.
We thank Mrs Maddison for everything she has done for our school and wish her every happiness and success in her new career. She will be greatly missed. 💙
