Wearside Youth for Christ

The last half term has been busy but great. RE lessons in Sandhill View on the Value of Life. Helping with Bible Comes Alive with Silksworth IMs. Nearly 3 weeks of Summer prayer spaces seeing nearly 2,000 children plus working alongside Hylton Castle Mission and a mission team from Fort Worth Texas. We worked in Town End, hylton Castle Primary and Castleview talking about how the church began. It was great to partner with the 10 2 Mission team based at Hope family Church too. To finish July we have been having a blast with Holiday Bible Clubs at St Johns church Shiney Row and Enon Baptist Church. Thanks for your prayers now time to rest 😁

A big thankyou to everyone who came to the fundraising quiz on Saturday night and to Jonny Potts for organising. We raised £635 on the night

We have had a great 3 days supporting Silksworth Independent Methodist Church to deliver the Bible Comes Alive programme all on the life of Jesus.

Wearside Youth for Christ fundraising Quiz Night is happening on Saturday 20th June at Bethany Church Houghton 6pm till 8.30pm. There will be Hot sandwiches available. Cost £10 per person and kids go free with an adult. Please get in touch to book so we know numbers for catering.

A big thankyou to everyone who came to help us prepare for our prayer spaces this morning. 700 paper boats made and lots of great conversations too. Why not come and join us next week when we make some more

So this term we have completed Re lessons on the topics of Parables, right and wrong, Living out the Gospel, life after death, christian marriage, war and peace, value of life and Why did Jesus die. Louise has been working in Northern Saints, Broadway Juniors, Christ College and Hastings Hill. We also had a fantastic week partnering with Hope Vineyard Church and a mission team from North Greenville university in South Carolina. We worked in Hudson Road over 4 aftetnoons. We played sports and shared the story of Zaccheus. Now for a rest 😁

It's been a great half term. RE lessons in Sandhill View, Washington and Venerable Bede plus Assembly week in Southmoor for Andy. Louise has taught in Silksworth and Town End. Together we have done primary assemblies in St Paul's, Redby, Barnes, Hudson Road and Silksworth. We finished off the term with delivering prayer spaces in 13 different schools too. Massive thankyou to all who helped make it happen.
