We had an amazing time at Milan Fashion Week. Students visit hub in the city centre, went to the Armani museum, and spotted the celebs at the Prada, Versace, and Armani shows. We also managed to fit in some shopping and sampling lots of pasta and pizza.

Roving reporters from our first year fashion module interviewed students, staff, and a team from Barbour. The fashion design programme worked on a brief with Barbour to design pieces of tailoring using Barbour material and fashion journalism students reported on the exhibition for our Fashion North website. Stories coming soon.

A successful networking event last night University of Sunderland. Some of our fashion journalism students with our former grad Megan, who now works at Barbour.

Congratulations to third year fashion journalism student Charmaine who was successful in securing a 100 hours placement at Barbour. She will be working in the photo studio and with the in-house styling team 👗🥾🧣🧤🧢👜👖University of Sunderland

A little taster of some of the donations we’ve had for our swap shop this Friday. There’s some great items to pick up such as this black jumper from Zara, black heels from Dune, a cream chiffon shirt from Next, n**e Dune heels, and a black checked shirt, with a white vest top. Some items are unworn and still have tags!
There’s still time to donate items and pick up a voucher so you can swap on the day. We will even accept donations on Friday so dig deep in your wardrobes and being any unwanted items along so you can exchange for a new piece of clothing and help save the 🌎 .
