Thinking about joining a course and want to find out more?

Our academic tutors will be available in the Language Centre (WV108) between 11am–1pm tomorrow (Wed 30 Sept) to answer any questions you may have and provide support with your registration.

New Term, New Library Sign-in

📚 Welcome back!

This term, we are introducing a new sign-in method to help keep your online accounts secure. When accessing library resources, you'll now see two login options.

✅ New to the University? ✅ No saved content or personalised settings in library systems?

Use the New Library Authentication Service.

Sign in with: Your university email e.g. [email protected] or [email protected] and password.

2. Returning after the summer break? ✅ Have personalised content in Library platforms? ✅

Use the Old Library Authentication Service to locate and transfer any saved content over to the new sign-in before the end of November.

Sign in with: Your university username e.g. aaObbb and password.

We’re pleased to announce that registrations are now open for our EAP and EBS courses beginning in early October.

These courses are designed to help students build confidence and develop a wide range of academic English skills, including writing, reading, presentations, seminar participation, and critical thinking.
We offer two pathways:

EAP (English for Academic Purposes): Suitable for students from all subjects who want to strengthen their academic communication.

EBS (English for Business Studies): Ideal for students studying business‑related degrees who want to develop discipline‑specific academic language and skills.

We also offer EAP courses for students who speak English as a first language.

If you’re looking to boost your confidence, improve your academic performance, or prepare for future study, this is a great opportunity.
