Today we stand together for our final week at Bright Stars. Never before have we worked with such talented, passionate and caring individuals!

We have achieved the unimageable together, created the most amazing, magical, beautiful learning environment for our children to thrive and grow into strong, powerful, confident little people.

This place will forever hold a place in all of our hearts and we intend to take some of the Bright Stars Magic with us!

Can we just take this moment to wish our staff the best of luck in their new jobs and we hope you find happiness in your new nursery settings!
Lots of love to you all xx

Using our hands to paint!

Who said you have to use brushes! Our children gain so much more by using their hands to paint with, they have direct contact with the surface creating more specific movements, enabling the child to connect to the movements they make!

This also gives the child freedom to create large scale paintings, to move in all different directions and to blend colours better!

Let children explore their way!

Two of our little ones spent some time exploring our old type writer, they loved pressing the buttons and looking at the individual keys.
We love introducing children to Authentic resources to learn about and give them these lovely experiences of learning about tools/resources that are no longer used this day and age. Modern technology looks so different, so by introducing these will help them develop their curiosity further.

How beautiful is this photo of a 1 year old child caring intently for her teddy, rocking it to sleep and feeding it using the bottle!

Our older children have been making some amazing coloured potions within their own mud kitchen.

We have been learning about colour blending, cause and effect, lots of early scientific experimenting, mathematics with lots of opportunities for independent thinking!

We have been making GIANT bubbles today, our children watching and catching these giant sized bubbles as they floated across the garden! What a fantastic science experiment for our children to learn about!
Getting the mixture right was key to the success of this experiment, measuring out soap, water and Glycerine!

We love capturing hand shots at Bright Stars.

You can really see the amount of effort put into something by our children just by looking at their hands, and how hard they are working!

These are some fantastic clay shots!

Our babies love exploring play dough. This is such a fantastic resource to use to develop fine motor hand movements and strengthen muscles.

They have used flowers, leaves and sticks to enhance their beautiful creations.
So unique to them!

Building upon their early creativity and problem solving skills.

Our babies have been exploring flowers such as lavender.

We talked about the texture and smells as they held and examined the flowers!

Children have been using tools today for a purpose. They have been learning how to use such tools safely and cautiously.
We observed some pretty amazing skills when hammering nails into a large log.
Children looked comfortable using these, kept a steady hand and had very good awareness of how hard to hit the nail, not to swing the hammer too high, where their fingers were positioned when holding nail in place and who was around them while using it!

Absolutely fantastic work!
