🚭 Va**ng isn’t harmless.

Vapes can contain ni****ne and other chemicals, and va**ng products must not be sold to anyone under 18.

They may come in different colours, flavours and designs, but that doesn’t make them risk-free.

💚 You don’t have to v**e just because others do. It’s always okay to say no.

If you’re already va**ng and want to stop, or you’re worried about va**ng, please speak to someone you trust, such as a parent/carer, teacher or another trusted adult. Support is available and you won’t be judged.

Make healthy choices today to protect your future. 💚

✨ ONE DAY TO GO! ✨

Tomorrow, we open our doors for Venerable Bede CE Academy Open Evening and who better to tell you what makes VB so special than our pupils? 💙💛

We asked them:

📚 What is your favourite subject?
💬 If you could describe Venerable Bede in just one word, what would it be?

Their answers capture what life at VB is really about. Pupil voice is incredibly important to us. We listen to our young people, value their experiences and ensure they are at the heart of our school community.

Tomorrow evening, come and meet our pupils, hear about their experiences, ask them what they love about VB and discover for yourself what makes our school such a special place.

🌟 A place to learn. A place to grow. A place to belong.

💙💛 We can’t wait to welcome you and your family tomorrow!

📅 Tomorrow | Venerable Bede CE Academy Open Evening

Come and discover what makes VB special.

🍂 Harvest Foodbank Collection 🍂

As part of our Harvest celebrations, we’re once again supporting our local community through our Foodbank Collection. 💜💙💛

This year, all donations will go to the Foodbank at Bethany City Church in Sunderland, helping local people and families who need support.

🥫 We would be incredibly grateful for any donations from the suggested items shown below. Please make sure all food has at least three months remaining before its expiry date.

📅 Donations can be brought into school until Friday 9th October.

Thank you, as always, to our Venerable Bede community for your generosity and support. 💜

Soaring to the heights together. 🕊️

🏎️ Year 9 Trip to Nissan!

Our Year 9 students visited Nissan’s Schools Engineering Event for an afternoon filled with creativity, engineering and teamwork!

Alongside a tour of the factory, students worked in teams to design, build and compete with their very own balloon-powered cars! 🎈🚗

It was fantastic to see so many of our students inspired and enthused by the experience. A brilliant opportunity to bring engineering to life!

👏 Well done, Year 9! 💜

Come along, meet our students, ask them your questions and discover for yourself what makes being part of so special! 💜
