Some budding artists from Year 4 and Year 5 had a spectacular visit to the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, stepping inside the vibrant world of Vincent Van Gogh at the ‘Beyond Van Gogh’ experience.
Rather than a traditional gallery, the children enjoyed a fully immersive experience, completely surrounded by floor-to-ceiling screens bringing Van Gogh’s swirling stars, sunflowers and self-portraits to life all around them.
We are very proud of our children - their behaviour was absolutely excellent and they represented the school beautifully.

What an unforgettable weekend for two of our amazing pupils!
We are incredibly proud of Poppy and Archie, who were invited to Maxstoke Castle, Birmingham, this weekend to meet Prince Harry during a special event for bereaved military families.
The visit formed part of Prince Harry's ongoing support for service families who have experienced the loss of a loved one, providing an opportunity for children and families to come together, share experiences and celebrate their resilience.
Poppy was chosen from over 500 children to ask Prince Harry a question on stage. She asked, "What makes you feel better when you are sad?"
Prince Harry's thoughtful response was that spending time with his pet dog, his children and listening to something funny that makes him smile helps him through difficult times.
What a wonderful opportunity for both Poppy and Archie to be involved in such a meaningful event. They conducted themselves brilliantly and we couldn't be prouder of them. Well done, Poppy and Archie! Mr. Duncan.

Thank you to all of our families who joined us this afternoon for our school's 30th Birthday Picnic. It was wonderful to see so many of you enjoying the sunshine and celebrating this special milestone together.
It was a pleasure to spend time with our children and families, catch up with so many of you, and see our school field filled with smiles, laughter and a real sense of community. Events like these remind us just how special our school family is.
Thank you for helping to make the afternoon such a memorable occasion. I hope you all enjoyed celebrating with us and I wish you and your families a wonderful weekend. Mr. Duncan

Our Reception children enjoyed an exciting hands-on learning experience this week as they explored the wonders of marine life. Through observation, discussion and discovery, they encountered a variety of fascinating sea creatures, including octopuses, fish and crabs.
It certainly was a memorable adventure that sparked curiosity, developed vocabulary and hopefully inspired a love of the natural world!

We are absolutely thrilled and incredibly proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of one of our talented Year 5 pupils, Vienna!
Ahead of next month's Dance World Cup Finals in the Republic of Ireland, Vienna has been ranked Number 1 in the world, placing her ahead of more than 9,000 solo dancers from across the globe. What an extraordinary accomplishment!
This recognition is a testament to Vienna's exceptional talent, dedication, resilience and countless hours of hard work. She truly embodies our school values of determination, passion and a commitment to excellence.
Vienna is an inspiration to other pupils and a wonderful ambassador for our school. We could not be prouder of everything she has achieved and the way she represents our school community.
The entire school will be cheering you on as you take to the world stage at the Dance World Cup Finals. We wish you the very best of luck, Vienna – enjoy every moment and keep shining! ⭐

We had some really interesting visitors to Reception and Nursery this week. Some giant snails and a really friendly tortoise became Castletown residents for the day.
Some interesting facts!
1. Snails are scientifically classified as invertebrates belonging to the phylum Mollusca!
2. In science, tortoises are exclusively terrestrial reptiles. All tortoises are actually a specific type of turtle!
