There has been increasing discussion nationally about potential reforms to the SEND system. Many families have understandably expressed questions and concerns about what these changes could mean for children and young people with SEND.

We would like to invite parents and carers to an information and discussion session where we will explore what is currently known, discuss key issues, and provide an opportunity for families to share their views and concerns.

You do not need to be parent of a child at Sunningdale School to attend this session. We hope that you will join us!

Join us on 24th September 2026 for a dynamic and practical online workshop exploring how engagement-driven play can unlock learning for pupils with Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD) including complex communication and interaction needs.

This event is ideal classroom practitioners, SENDCos, teaching assistants, and leaders working with pupils with Complex Learning Difficulties in mainstream settings.

A huge thank you to the staff at Morrisons Doxford Park Community Champion who have been incredibly supportive and welcoming each time our pupils visit.

Shark Class have been visiting Morrisons to help develop their independence skills by using a shopping list, finding and purchasing items, and ordering and paying for their morning snack in the cafe.

Yesterday, the team at Morrisons also kindly donated lots of resources which will be used to enhance our outdoor learning spaces, in particular our new Sensory Garden which is opening next week for pupils in our Initiate Pathway.

Thank you Morrisons, we look forward to visiting again soon!

Changes to eligibility mean that if you receive Universal Credit, your child may now qualify for Free School Meals.

Calling all parents, carers and staff... do you have what it takes to be crowned the ultimate Sunningdale Fantasy Football Champion? 🌟

This season, we're launching the Sunningdale Fantasy League; a fun, friendly competition that brings our school community together through a shared love of football. Whether you're a Premier League expert, a casual fan, or someone who just likes a bit of healthy competition, everyone is welcome to join in!

🌟 A Wonderful First Week Back at Sunningdale! 🌟

We've had a fantastic first week back and it has been wonderful to see our pupils return with so many smiles, ready for another exciting term of learning and fun.

We have also been delighted to welcome several new pupils and families to the Sunningdale community. It has been lovely to see new friendships beginning to form and everyone settling into school life so well.

Across the school, pupils have shown resilience, enthusiasm and a real eagerness to learn. We are incredibly proud of how positively they have started the term.

Thank you to all our families for your continued support. We hope you have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to another great week ahead.
