Part three of what Digital Careers has been up to in Sunderland...

Sarah Zaman from TechFirst taught our young learners ethical hacking.

The thinking is simple: if you know how hackers think, you can stop them. It gets young people thinking about security, helps them stay safe online, and shows them a rewarding, well-paid career in tech they might not have known existed.

TechFirst is the government's flagship tech skills programme, opening pathways into the UK's fast-growing tech sector across every part of the country. Sunderland Software City and TechFirst work together to support young learners' development here in Sunderland.

Part two of what Digital Careers has been up to in Sunderland...

We were back at Fulwell Junior School, this time with Vicky Dodds teaching the pupils robotics and engineering. Have a look at the video below.

At that age, it isn't really about careers advice. It's about seeing that building and fixing things is a real job that real people enjoy, and that it could be theirs one day.
