Another great day volunteering for the Sport & Public Services department today at the Sunderland 5k, 10k and Half Marathon 2024 🏃‍♂️💨

As part of our career focused curriculum, learners collaborated with Events Of The North and Sunderland City Council, our learners worked as marshals, providing support to runners and the general public should they need it 💪

Employer Engagement 🌟

Following a hugely successful 3 days at Nottingham University (see previous post!), the outstanding opportunities for our students continued today.
The Gym Group
A huge thank you to Simone and Kev from The Gym Group who delivered a talk on Personal Training today. They offered our students job opportunities, work experience placements and more. Students had a chance to learn what type of personality they are and what that means for them when working with a client.

Team Dynamic

Our 5 students who are keen to work with Team Dynamic after their Diploma had the chance to do a foam rolling session. They also had an informal interview from Adam and Lewis to explore why they may want to be working for Team Dynamic in the future.

Brit Challenge 24

A huge thank you to Michael Taylor, Karl Stephenson, Chris McMahon and Caitlyn Owens who invited their students to the Circuit Training session for this years Brit Challenge.
The students completed a variety of exercises such as; kettlebell swings, push ups, barbell shoulder press and more. Staff and students put in excellent effort and overall we played our part.
A huge thank you to Kayley, Alex and Alfie who came into college on their day off to support 🙂👍
