Creative Inclusion: Where Education meets Neurodiversity. A Trauma-Informed, Specialist Non-School Learning Provision where neurodivergent young people thrive.

13/05/2026

As I posted previously Creative Inclusion, my little non-school alternative provision has been nominated for the Community Organisation Award in the National Diversity Awards 2026. Below is one of the voter's comments. Win or not it is comments like this that mean the world to us all. Creative Inclusion has an amazing team and the most truly wonderful learners and families. The award is for them. πŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ«ΆπŸΌ

Joanne, Oscar and Holly have had a massive impact on L's ability to turn up and attend and that is no small thing. Oscar noticed what L loved and took the time to find it. Nobody had ever done that before. He gave her the confidence to pick up a guitar and learn new songs just by listening to what music she was listening to and her style, he asked what she would like to learn. Something so simple. Something nobody had ever bothered to do. L struggles to accept praise. Years of not receiving it will do that to a child. But the team at Creative Inclusion found ways to give her that recognition in ways she could actually receive it quietly, gently, without it feeling overwhelming. They make her feel valued. Not just as a learner, but as a person. An individual. When L first started and something went wrong, Oscar gave her the space to explain. He didn't look for someone to blame. He looked for the truth. For a young person who had learned to expect the worst, that changed everything. Creative Inclusion found the L we know and love the one the system had buried under years of not being seen. You have given L light in her darkest time. She knows she has total support. She can talk to you if there's a problem and you will listen no judgment. You will listen and you will help. This is what this provision is about. Everything they say they are they truly are β€” Heart & Mind. Joanne, Oscar, Holly I could write so much more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❀️

Neurodiversity Celebration Week (16–20 March 2026) is a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate the incredible diversity of minds in our community.

What began in 2018 with Siena Castellon β€” then a 17‑year‑old determined to challenge stereotypes and champion acceptance β€” has grown into a global movement that continues to inspire change.

At Creative Inclusion Learning Studio, we see every day how powerful it is when young people are understood for who they are. When their strengths are recognised, their needs respected, and their individuality embraced, they don’t just learn, they grow in confidence, curiosity, and joy.

We’re proud to stand with our neurodivergent learners and their families. This week and every week, we celebrate differences, nurture strengths, and create spaces where every young person feels they truly belong.

✨ British Science Week at Creative Inclusion Learning Studio! ✨

What a week! πŸ”¬βš‘πŸͺπŸŒŠ

From exploring the science behind energy drinks πŸ₯€, designing our very own planets πŸͺ, making circuits ⚑, and investigating conduction materials, to live online sessions with Tim Peake, embarking on science scavenger hunts in nature 🌿 and exploring our stunning local coastal areas 🌊 β€” our incredible learners immersed themselves in a week of discovery that reminded us all just how naturally curious and brilliant they are.

Learning, laughter, and lightbulb moments β€” that's what Creative Inclusion is all about. πŸ’™

Science isn't just something that happens in a classroom. It happens when young people are given the space, the support, and the freedom to explore. And this week, they absolutely shone.

We are so proud of every single one of them. πŸ‘

Team Creative Inclusion. πŸ’œ

Led by the brilliant Fiona, our Head of Provision, and made up of the wonderfully talented Oscar, Holly, Jess, Justin, and Terry - this team gives everything, every single day, for the young people we are privileged to support.

At Creative Inclusion Learning Studio, we believe something simple but profound: neurodevelopmental conditions are not behavioural conditions. When a young person displays challenging behaviour, it is not who they are, it is a signal that a need is going unmet.

So we meet the need. It really is that simple.

And because of that? Well, we don't see challenging behaviour here. What we see instead are young people who are curious, intelligent, hardworking, and truly inspirational - because that is who they have always been. They just needed the right people around them to see it.

To our team - you are extraordinary. What you do matters more than words can say.πŸ’œ

To our young people - you are, and always will be, the absolute best.🌟

Every Wednesday our young people connect with nature in support of their health and wellbeing.

They build dams, do workouts with a difference (not an indoor gym in sight), and at the end of the day they toast marshmallows whilst reflecting and mentally resetting around a campfire.

They love it and it works wonders for their mental and physical health. Thank you Starboy Fitness & Massage for amazing days in the woods. Looking forward to our next Wellness Wednesday session with you. 🌈
