Job Title: Childminding Assistant (Home base Setting)

Location: Sunderland

Hours: Hours may vary.
Monday to Friday
7am-5.30pm

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Childminding Assistant to join our home-based childcare setting. You will work alongside a registered childminder to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of varying ages.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, is creative and patient, and is committed to supporting their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with the day-to-day care and supervision of children
• Helping to plan and deliver fun, educational activities (indoors and outdoors)
• Supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical development
• Preparing snacks/meals and assisting with feeding where needed
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
• Supporting with school/nursery drop-offs and collections (if required)
• Following safeguarding and health & safety policies at all times

What We’re Looking For
• Genuine passion for working with children
• Friendly, patient, and trustworthy personality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and organised
• Willingness to learn and undertake training (e.g. safeguarding, first aid)
Full UK driving license

Desirable (but not essential):
• Previous experience in childcare (nursery, school, childminding, babysitting, etc.)
• Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Childcare or Early Years)
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• DBS check (Enhanced)

"A friendly reminder to all parents: please ensure you adhere to your child's agreed-upon drop-off and pick-up times. If you arrive early, we kindly ask that you remain in your car until your scheduled time to help us maintain proper child-to-staff ratios.

Please also note that there will be no staff available between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM, and again between 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM, as our staff will be on school runs during these times. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!"
