Suzanne Richardson Singing Academy

In October we started our Absolute Show Choir which is a group open to anyone 16+ on Wednesday night 7 til 8pm at our studio in Sunderland. It is a group where we just have a good sing together and a bit of a laugh. We have a fabulous group of ladies who have pushed themselves out of their comfort zones and learned 10 songs as many weeks to perform at various community events.
We start again on January 21st if anyone would like to come and join us. No experience needed. Drop me a message.

10 years ago today I moved from teaching in my spare room to a studio in the recently demolished Bridge House in Sunderland city centre and opened my singing academy. 3 years ago we moved into our current home in 35 West Sunniside.

Thank you to all my pupils past and present for your support and your fabulousness and your families for their patience and support.

Thank u to those who have been part of the team along the way. Samantha Ridley (pop vocals teacher) Charlotte Butler (piano teacher) and Graham Brown (accompanist). Also thank u to Veronica Cairns and all at LCM.

Of course not forgetting Helen 'Ellie' Wilson for her continued love and endless support, being there for a cuddle on the difficult days, clearing up my mess and fabulous choreography.

We have 100% pass rate with all exams taken whether it be LCM musical theatre, classical singing and pop music vocals exams or ABRSM singing and piano exams. We also offer NCDTA musical theatre and speech and drama exams and have had great success and amazing mark's with those too.

Many pupils have left to continue their training at vocational schools or to work as performers around the world. Many come back for lessons when they are in the area and we've had a few visiting celebrities pop in for lessons too.

Thank u all for trusting me with ur fabulous voices. For going along with my crazy acting through song ideas and for letting me do what I love.

I couldn't be prouder of what we have all achieved in 10 years.... here's to the next .... well however many xx

So as the teaching year comes to an end and a new year is about to start we say goodbye to this fabulous lot who are all to follow their dreams and continue their training in musical theatre.
Wishing u all the luck in the world 4 what is the start of an exciting, crazy but fantastic part of ur life. Work hard, keep us posted of how ur doing but most of all be the best u can be. Soak everything in like a sponge and enjoy it!! So, so proud of u all # #
