We're Pressing Pause...
After a busy period of storytelling, projects and pizza making, Raising Dough CIC is taking a short break.
We're using this time to recharge, reflect, and work on what's next.

More delicious no-bake bakes from the fab team at Grace House North East
Today we've made Jammie Jack (Jammie Dodger), Monsieur Minuit (Chocolate Cookies & Cream), and there's a new kid on the block, Party Ring Funetti (white chocolate loaded with Party Ring biscuits and rainbow sprinkles).
Storybook Bakes is our social enterprise project inspired by Jo's book, The Story of the Lazy Loaf. The no-bake bakes are made by Jack and the team, who also happens to be the baker in our story.
Each no-bake session covers:
🍩 Food Safety
🧁 Food Allergens
🍪 Health and Safety
🍫 Weighing and Measuring
🍭 Quality Control
🍬 Recipe Development
And we've got a competition running! Six characters, six personalities — draw one of them and your artwork could end up on a real Storybook Bakes label. Not going to lie.
Networking is something I dread 😥
The anticipation
The small-talk.
The imposter syndrome!
But my goodness! Todays event run by North East BIC was so inspiring.
Being in a room full of woman lifting each other up was incredible.
Even one of the few men in the room who took the mic said he had 4 daughters and a wonderful wife, and he was their because of them.
Now to pull up my Big Girl Pants and put some of today into practice :-)
