Jaguar Class had so much fun learning about the Harvest Festival in Culture and Enrichment. 🥦🥕

The pupils sang the Harvest Festival song, before looking at different vegetables that are grown and even dug some of these up from their own garden patch. They found carrots, potatoes, broccoli, peas, parsnip, and turnip. 🥔

As a class, they spoke about different animals that give them food, such as cows give them milk and chickens give them eggs. They then used broccoli, potato, and carrot to paint a beautiful smiley face. 😀

Well done, Jaguar Class!

In English, Ash Class has been reading the story of 'The Great Kapok Tree'. The pupils learnt all about the different animal characters and they role they play in the story. 🦍🐆🐍

Each of them took turns to act out a different role and different characters. There were lots of different animals, like a sloth, a jaguar, a snake and many more. They had great fun doing different accents that sounded like the animals in the story. The pupils also needed to play the role of a sleepy character, which a lots of Ash Class played very well. 😴😴

They learnt some of the words that the characters said and tried their very best to remember their lines.

Everyone was very proud of the class and how much they tried. They had a very good lesson, full of laughs. 🤣

Well done, Ash Class!

This week in Panther Class, the pupils have been looking at the digraph "ee" in Phonics. The class started by listening to the Phonics song, which they love to sing. 🗣️🔤

Then, they recapped the previously learnt sounds with Morgan, followed by sentence reading and practising writing words containing the digraph "ee". Panther Class are doing so well with their letter formation. 🔡

Finally, they fed the Phonics monster, searching for words containing their new digraph to feed him. Well done, Panther Class! 👏

In Forest School, Leopard Class have been reading the story 'Leaves Fall Down'. The pupils learnt about the changes that happen to trees and their leaves as the seasons change from Summer to Autumn. 🍃➡️🍂

The children enjoyed going on walks in the local area to look for and collect leaves that had already fallen from the trees. Back in the classroom, they used the collected leaves to create fantastic leaf faces. 😄

Everyone showed great creativity and imagination, and the staff are very proud of their wonderful artwork. Aren't they fantastic? 👏
