🫂Today we went off to Osterley House and Gardens - National Trust with our friends from LWC Childminding and Faye’s childminding service 🫂
😃We made stick buddies using some air dry clay, sticks and other Autumn nature items we found on our walk. Children first had to roll the clay into balls and then stick it onto their sticks. Once they had found items to make eyes, a nose, mouth and hair they stuck them into the clay too.😀
🍁After we had made our stick buddies we went on a conker hunt, looking in all the fallen leaves and hoping to spot a shiny conker. We managed to find 4 and lose 3 on our adventures! We discussed the differences between the shiny smooth conkers and their rough spiky shells, and also about who may have eaten those that looked a bit chewed!🍁
✏️This activity is great for having conversations and introducing key words around our faces, similarities and differences, autumn, texture, hibernation, wild animals and many more. Its also a great gross and fine motor skills activity, helping children to strengthen those hand muscles to help them be able to do things like mark making and writing in the future. Its also great for our daily exercise and strengthening legs and increasing stamina for walking.✏️
🌟Term time only spaces available, open 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday 🌟
