We celebrate some of our recent achievements of Year 11 students.

On top of GCSE coursework and revision our students at the top of the Stoke College upper school continue to impress with their remarkable achievements.

Amelia has successfully completed her Level 8, the final stage, of her British Ice Skating national skills. She will now move on to specialist coaching in figure skating. This shows years of dedication and perseverance, and we are tremendously proud of her achievement.

Bertie has secured a place as a crew member for this year’s Cowes Week. We wish him every success as he prepares for the challenge ahead.

We wish all of our Year 11 students the very best for their GCSEs and beyond.

This week our Year 7 students delivered a thought-provoking assembly about resilience. A theme central to the Stoke College ethos.

Expertly led from the lectern by Lilly, students took turns to come to the front and present their ideas.

They shared difference scenarios and asked us to consider ‘what’s the worst that could happen?’, looking at best and worst case scenarios and encouraging us to see opportunities for growth rather than fear.

Mrs Groves concluded by sharing some of her own personal experiences where resilience has sprung from difficult situations.

Congratulations Year 7 and Miss Harris for a very successful assembly presentation.
