I took these photo last night in Borley. A field of phacelia, glowing in the sunset.
A kind lady stopped to ask me if I was ok. I think she thought my car had broken down. When I explained I had just spotted this glorious view and wanted to take a photo, she told me of a beautiful field of phacelia and sunflowers in Fenstead End. I'm not sure where that is, but who knows what other discoveries I might make while looking!

And a few herbs that I forgot in the video...back open properly on the 20th August. Until then, if the gate is open (usually 9ish for an hour or two), we're open for customers.
A quick tour around the garden, at this quiet time in the gardening year.
A short tour to show you what we've (royal 'we' there, really just Rob at this time of year!) been up to in the last few weeks.
Our hours will be back to normal from the 20th August (with a later start on the 22nd). The perennials are looking good, and we have tonnes of plants growing, ready for the autumn. π
Now, let's all do a rain dance please...π§ππΊ
Morning, I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who's taken the time to comment on our last post, or call in for a word. Your support means the world to us, and we are so grateful. βΊοΈ
Hi, We're taking a bit of time off over the summer, so won't be open every day, and hours may be shorter if the seaside is calling!
We'll be back open on Sunday 2nd August at 9am. Closed today and tomorrow.
If you'd like to check if we're open before setting out, please give the nursery a call on the phone number on our Home page. Sorry for any inconvenience.
We'll be back full time in the autumn with winter bedding plants (pansies, primulas, bellis etc), and lots of perennials. Hope the watering is going ok, and enjoy the summer βοΈ πΎπΏ.

I was out dead-heading the plants in Sudbury on Monday, to keep them at their best. I hope you're enjoying them as much as we are. I overheard someone saying they are 'beyond belief' while taking photos, which was lovely to hear!
Thank you to Sudbury Town Council wardens for the watering and feeding. They are doing a brilliant job!

With great thanks to Helen, Linda, Chrissie, Judi and Rebecca for sharing photos of their gardens for our online 'Open Gardens'. I'll keep sharing photos all summer as I get sent any. Come on, be brave, we'd love to see what you've been working on!
I went over to Lavenham this week to see how our baskets are getting on at The Swan, so I've included a couple of those photos too.
It's so lovely to see where our plants end up! You're all doing a great job, you should be very proud of your gardens. π
I do hope the watering is going OK with the hosepipe ban. Keep re-using water where you can. Please share tips if you have any. Mine would be to empty any half-drunk glasses of water straight into the hanging basket on the way to washing up!
