Half term fun. This week we have been busy, starting off the week exploring the lego inventors club and STEM activities at Long Melford Library. Today we took the bus into town to use our world book day tokens, which we couldn't wait to read and was a perfect distraction whilst we waited for the bus. 🚍📖📚

Our beautiful tree is all set up in Sudbury Arts Centre. All the decorations are made by the children who attend Muddy Bears. The Christmas tree festival is open daily, children are free and adults are asked for a donation. 🌲🎄

Today we visited our local farmers market and our favourite stall holder Richard from Norwegian Bakers. The children chose a cake each to have for their dessert they chose Belgium buns and chocolate cookie. They loved chatting to Richard about the cakes and how the best part of a Belgium bun is the cherry on top!

Today we enjoyed a trip to Jimmy's farm and saw lots of animals, including Ewa the polar bear! 🐻‍❄️ Our favourite animals were the big pigs and the very hairy camels! 🐖🐫 It's great that Jimmy's offers a annual pass option for childminders which means more children get to see and learn about all the different animals and where they come from.

Today we set up our own tree for the festival. The children made their own decorations to hang on the tree and were very proud to see it all lit up. 🌲🎅

Today we released our butterflies out into the wild. One just didn't want to fly away and was happy sitting on a hand for a few minutes before flying off. 🐛🦋

We have acquired these free of charge as they are end of range and no longer required by the shop but we believe they can bring a smile to a child’s face.

The NHS is understandably seeing high levels of worried parents enquiring about their child’s symptoms due to the increased levels of Group A Strep circulating (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/scarlet-fever/?fbclid=IwAR3ZRB5hBznGik6LT_QX2O9dnI4B8kK9qcQnOD8IBe8t_HjDboUpIRmhHUE)

If your child is unwell but you’re not sure if you need to seek medical help, start with the Healthier Together App or website: https://what0-18.nhs.uk. You can download the app from the App Store or Google Play, you can set up a profile for each of your children and the app will give tailored advice for your child.
This will help you decide whether your child needs medical help or if you can safely treat at home.

Make sure you talk to a health professional if your child is getting worse with a bout of scarlet fever, a sore throat, or a respiratory infection. You can use the guidance below to help with who to contact and when.

Today the Community Wardens Sudbury moved our tyres into place so we could start to decorate them. Any guesses what it is yet? We had a great time watching the town tree being lifted up and put into place. 🎁🎄♻️
