The children had a fantastic day at Wookey Hole yesterday! It was wonderful to be able to take the whole school on a trip to reward them for all of their hard work throughout the year.

As always, the children were impeccably behaved and were a real credit to the school. Everyone had a fantastic day, and it was a lovely way to celebrate the end of a successful year together.

This week, our children were absolutely incredible in our whole school performances of School of Pop! 🎤🎶

They had the audience giggling from start to finish and tapping along to the songs. We are so proud of every child for their enthusiasm, confidence, and hard work. What a wonderful way to celebrate their talents! ⭐👏

Our children had a fantastic day working with talented artist Darrell Wakelam to create an amazing 3D piece of art featuring bees. Each year group played an important part in bringing the piece to life, using papier-mâché techniques and paint to build this wonderful collaborative display.

The finished artwork will proudly showcase our school rules:

The children all thoroughly enjoyed their sessions with Forest Yogi Minds. They used tools, made dens, toasted marshmallows and swung in the hammock. We are very grateful to the PTFA for paying for these valuable sessions. 💚🌳🌿🌼

Yesterday some of our children took part in a Eco Coding Adventure. Years 1-4 really enjoyed learning about recycling and the importance of looking after the planet through coding. They learnt that we need to break instructions down into small steps and if we leave out even one step, the code will need debugging.💻🌍💚

Our Summer Day of Faith began with Mass, where we gathered together to pray for peace throughout the world.
The children then took part in a variety of prayer spaces focused on the theme of peace, reflecting on how we can be peacemakers in our daily lives and how we can pray for peace for others.
As part of the day, the children also participated in a creative art activity, making Courage Cups for refugees who have been forced to leave their homes because of war. This thoughtful activity encouraged the children to consider the challenges faced by others and to show compassion, hope, and solidarity.
It was a meaningful day of prayer, reflection, creativity, and faith, inspiring us all to be ambassadors of peace in our world. 🕊️💙Prayer Spaces in Schools Refugee Week
