I am extremely proud to report that I’ve recently started teaching German Sprachpraxis (oral lessons) at the reputable Stratford Girls Grammar School to Year 12 and 13 students, helping them prepare for their A levels and perhaps a career with German.
And above all, the school is set in this delightful village. What more can you want?

Die Bücher....
Alles, was ich in meinem Leben erreicht habe, verdanke ich Büchern. Sie waren meine Freunde, meine Lehrer, meine Seelenverwandten. Dank der Bücher konnte ich träumen, reisen und alles vergessen. Sie brachten mir bei, wie ich richtig die Wörter buchstabieren soll, wie ich gut benehmen soll.
In meiner Kindheit waren sie meine guten Freunde, mit denen ich sprechen konnte und meine Gedanken äußern konnte. Sie ersetzten mir meine Eltern. Die Bücher kümmerten sich um mich, meine Eltern - nicht. Meine Eltern kauften kein einziges Buch für mich, darum besuchte ich die Bibliothek sehr oft und alle Bibliothekare mich kannten.
In meiner Kindheit war ich sehr neidisch auf solche Leute, die viele Bücher in ihren Häusern hatten. Das war mein Traum, viele Bücher zu Hause zu haben und eine Bibliothekarin zu werden. Als ich jung war, las ich non-stop.
Bücher tauchten mich in eine andere Welt und eine andere Dimension des Lebens ein, in der ich alles auf der Welt vergiss und ein anderes Leben führen konnte.
Ich werde das nie vergessen. Ich werde ihnen sehr dankbar sein und ich zahle immer Büchern mit meiner großen Liebe zurück. Sie sind wie meine alten vertrauten Freunde, die immer in menem Herzen sein werden. Die Bücher haben mein Leben und mein Schicksal stark beeinflusst. ❤❤❤

During the week of 20-24 July and throughout August I’ll be offering a ‘Holiday Spanish’ class 🇪🇸🐠☀️🌊
It’ll be 5x30 mins sessions Monday- Friday (pm) every day and costs are £5/ person. ☺️
There will be no grammar, just words, sentences and expressions that are useful for a holiday in Spain - ordering, asking directions, going shopping, at the beach...🥘

Can I just say thank you to both my loyal as well as new students, it’s been a busy few weeks teaching online! I absolutely love it.
I’m currently full for both Spanish and German (who would have thought German is so popular!) but watch this space as things will change around September time.
My group lessons are very popular and start at only £5/ person. I teach beginners all the way through to A levels, so if you are interested DM me or email [email protected] to be put on a waiting list for September.

I’m very excited to announce the start of an extra German Klub class, aimed at preschool and primary school children. 🎹🪕🎧🎤🤹♀️🎈🆕
Classes will be held every Thursday at 2pm for 25mins via zoom. 👶👧🧒👦 start date is the 7th May 👩🏫
We will be singing, dancing, clapping, drawing, writing and listening to stories - all in German 🇩🇪

In this scary and weird time I am grateful I can still stay “open” for business.
I’ll be running my usual classes online via Skype and zoom and am putting together additional classes for all ages and abilities.
This is a great way to take your mind off the chaos outside, practice social distancing and do something useful with your time.

I’ll be setting up language “boot camps” over the next week, it’ll be a great way to pass the time in isolation 👩💻🧑💻👩🏫
There will be 25-30 minute lessons in German and Spanish every day.

I have moved all my classes to be web based for the foreseeable future. It’s working well but I feel really anxious about it all.
I guess I’m lucky as a teacher that I can still work in a limited capacity but this feels scary and sad. Keep well everyone x

I’m very proud to say that together with the wonderful Mappleborough Green Preschool we’ve started running a German Club for 3-4 year olds.
For 30mins every week the children get to sing and play “in German”, and unbelievably they’ve all started speaking their first words and mini sentences!
We’ve been focusing on Ducks and will be starting with a Spider theme this week. 😊
