We're incredibly proud to be supporting the nasen Awards 2026 as sponsors of the Early Years Provider/Provision of the Year category 💚

Across the Early Years sector, so many wonderful settings are going above and beyond to ensure every child feels included, supported and has the opportunity to thrive. And behind these settings are dedicated teams who adapt, advocate and continually find ways to make a difference to the children and families in their care.

Creating truly inclusive environments takes knowledge, understanding, teamwork and commitment. That's why we're delighted to be part of recognising and celebrating those putting inclusion at the heart of everything they do.

Great leadership isn't about having all the answers... 💚

And in Early Years, where no two days are ever quite the same, that's particularly important!

Being a great leader doesn't mean knowing exactly what to do in every situation, having a solution to every problem or never needing to ask for help 🙅🏼

Sometimes, it's about listening. Asking the right questions. Recognising when someone else has a better idea. And creating an environment where your team feels confident enough to speak up, share their experiences and learn from one another.

Because the strongest teams aren't built around one person knowing everything. They're built on trust, communication, shared knowledge and a willingness to keep learning.

And that includes the person leading them 🫶🏼

What a wonderful two days at the Childcare & Education Expo 🫶 We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and took a moment to chat with the team.

It was lovely to catch up with familiar faces, meet so many new people and spend time with others who share our passion for the Early Years sector. We're still buzzing from the whole atmosphere.

And that's what events like this are really about. Coming together, sharing experiences and learning from one another in the wonderful work we do every day 💚

We also had plenty of happy winners on our tombola and some fantastic opportunities for learning and reflection through the seminars. It's always a lovely reminder of just how much knowledge, passion and support there is within our Early Years community 😍

We’re excited to share that MBK Early Years has been nominated for West Midlands Training Provider of the Year at the My Local Awards🎉

Everything we do is about supporting the people who work with our youngest children - providing training that feels relevant, practical and genuinely useful when you get back into your setting.

We strive for people to leave our training not just with another certificate for the file, but feeling more confident, more knowledgeable and with ideas they can actually put into practice. Whether we’re covering safeguarding, leadership, interactions, Ofsted or something completely different, it always comes back to helping Early Years professionals feel better equipped to do the incredibly important job they do every day.

We’re constantly developing what we offer, listening to the sector and looking at what Early Years teams actually need - so to be recognised for exactly that means a LOT to us 💚

Every child communicates...

In Early Years, we know that children communicate long before they can talk - and for some children, spoken language may not be their primary way of communicating at all.

Signs, gestures, facial expressions, symbols and other forms of communication can give children ways to express themselves, make choices, connect with others and be understood.

Introducing signing into everyday practice isn’t only about supporting children who don’t yet use spoken language, either. It can help create an environment where different ways of communicating are seen, understood and valued by everyone.

As today is International Day of Sign Language, why not explore what signs your children already know and have a go at learning a few more together? 🫶

Risk assessment isn’t about removing every risk - it’s about understanding and managing it well. This session helps practitioners spot hazards, make confident decisions and create environments where children can explore safely.

Your curriculum shouldn't live in a folder 📚

This practical session is all about knowing where to start, making your curriculum meaningful and being able to confidently explain how it comes to life in your everyday practice.

All behaviour is communication... In this session we'll explore what can sit behind children’s behaviour and practical ways to support emotional regulation, resilience and positive relationships - while working in partnership with families.
