A reminder that
1. There are loads of fun ways to play Christmas music without having to yawn....I rate this book for its fun jazzy versions of Christmas songs which are about grade 5-6 level.
And 2. I have a little space for some new students in January. But it's first come first served so if you're thinking about it now is the time to book. I have a little time before school, a little time on a couple of days straight after-school and hardly any later afternoon and some day time ones for homeschool and adults as well as some flexible spots for adults that work and only want a lesson every two or three weeks because of time and life issues! (These are not appropriate for young people and obviously you'll make slower progress but it's better than nothing!)

Some fabulous results in the last few weeks.
100% for Oscar and Arthur in their preprep piano exams
And very high distinctions for Elliott in his grade 4 classical singing and Bodhi for grade 2 cello.

And earlier this summer we had two fabulous distinctions for grade 7 piano for Milo and Ellie and distinction for Eliza's grade 5 piano.
Well done all of you.

Another fantastic distinction. A lovely early Christmas present. Top marks for grade 3 and the student had only been learning a short time. Wonderful!

Another amazing distinction for piano.
So many this year! So please don't think you can't learn on line. I've been teaching on line since March and since then over 25 students have taken exams in piano, singing and cello and almost all have had distinctions and everyone has, of course, passed!
There is a little space for new students so please message me if you would like to discuss. I teach all ages from 3 to 103 but it is essential younger children are closely supervised both in the lessons and practising if you want to make progress!

Apologies if you're trying to use my website. It appears to have been hacked or something and sadly the person who made it won't do anything to help now....
I don't have time to create a new one so if you know anyone who genuinely makes website professionally please ask them to get in touch!
However the good news is I have a very few spaces both after school and on a Sunday afternoon as well as during the day and before school for piano, cello and voice.
And over lockdown over 20 students took on line exams all but 2 got distinctions, and the two got very high merits. So that's OK! A massive well done to everyone who has stuck with lessons and has realised that on line just isn't so bad!

I've finally got round to totalling up exam results since lockdown... These are all exams taken after exams face to face were cancelled and thought the summer so far.
As of this morning 18 results
Pregrade to grade 7
Piano, singing musical theatre, early learning and cello
16 distinctions 2 very high merits
And before the end of the summer holidays I'm expecting a few more students to be ready.
Mainly London College of Music and Music Teachers Board, one Trinity. I have to say the winner so far is MTB as its always been designed to be an on line exam, results are within 2 weeks (the quickest was 6 days the longest 13) and all marked by specialists in the individual subject so really good useful comments. Trinity the most disorganised and opaque in terms of how result calculated. LCM good but somewhat unreliable in terms of communication.
Anyway well done to my fabulous students who have persevered despite everything and indeed most have made amazing progress. And if any of you think it can't be done, I think the proof is in the pudding!

And another distinction! A student who swopped from Trinity to Music Teachers Board and had to learn some new technical, aural etc got 90%. And the most fantastic comments, both on how to improve and noticing her musicality and fabulous playing.
A first for me with this board but I have a number of other students using it over the summer. It was a very positive experience all round. Took less than a week to get the results as well.

So many more fabulous results. So far everyone has had distinctions this term. Today heard one of my grade 7 piano students got 94%.and the most amazing comments. Well done!
Still some space for new students, including preschool (I can start age 3) and adults in September. Piano, cello and singing, all lessons on line (Skype, zoom, WhatsApp, Facebook messenger) for the foreseeable future.
