Are you worried about your child catching up with school work since the lockdown? Do you feel your child would benefit with some extra one to one input? I am able to offer online personal tutoring within all areas of the Primary National Curriculum for Years 1-6 as well as phonics support for children in Reception to Year 2.
I qualified as a Primary School teacher in June 2020 after nearly 10 years of working with Preschool aged children. Since qualifying I have been working as a Teaching Assistant in a Year 1 & 2 class teaching and supporting both whole class learning as well as small groups and individuals.
I have a passion for developing children’s love of learning and feel that teaching works best when it is individualised to children’s abilities and needs in order for children to achieve their full potential. I throughly enjoy building relationships with both students and their parents/ family which supports my ability to plan and develop developmentally appropriate and engaging lessons and resources for the individual learner.
I can offer tutoring across the whole of the National Curriculum to either help children develop their learning and confidence in a specific subject area/s or to help support children within both the KS1 and KS2 SATS tests. Furthermore, I have a sound phonics knowledge which means I am able to offer support to children at the earliest stages of their learning in relation to reading, writing and spelling.
My teaching style ensures learning is both fun and engaging as well as being as hands on as possible. I am able to plan to individual learning styles helping children to retain and use what they have been taught.
Outside of teaching I have a passion for the outdoors and love exploring new and exciting places. I aim to get to know children’s interests and hobbies in order to deliver as individualised lessons as possible.
