I focus on nurturing, growth and development through play. Hi, I am Bea. I live in Stroud, and work as a community midwife in Swindon. Bumble&Bea was set up after I had two children very close together and wanted to create some classes for all parents, that was non judgemental and considered a safe space for all to come and recharge and be looked after while learning new skills, making friends or playing and having fun with their babies/children.

I love summer. I love the excitement of a beach day and how much fun it can be spending time in the garden. But I have to admit, I’ve found parenting in these extreme heats too much. And I can’t imagine being pregnant, giving birth, or having a newborn during these heatwaves!

So, if you’ve found the heat a bit too much too, are you with me? Are you excited about the thought of crisp mornings, having to reach for extra layers, and wrapping up in scarves?

To be honest, my favourite time of year is autumn. I love the changing leaves, the fact that it’s completely acceptable to have hot chocolates all the time, and staying in to watch a cosy movie. I also love Halloween and can’t wait to start getting out all the crazy props! 🎃

Want to come and join a multi award wining class? I won Muddy stilettos- Best Children’s Business for Worcestershire and Gloucestershire in 2024, 2025 and up for National winner for best children’s business 2025.

𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞- Ages 8 weeks to pre crawling. Taught by me a registered midwife, trained by a Royal College of Midwives approved baby massage instructor.
My classes are a bit of time for you to come, chat with other mums, receive a hot drink, a tasty treat and learn a new skill that can relieve your baby of teething pain, ease symptoms of coughs, colic, constipation, and helps with bonding.

𝐓𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐲 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞- Ages newborn to crawling. My tummy time course is a relaxed, cosy course for you to come and enjoy a hot drink and a sweet treat. While you and your little one take part in little activities to encourage your baby to like Tummy time. There are also lots of opportunities for you to chat to the other parents in the class.

𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲- Ages 12 weeks to Crawling. Massage stretch and play is a fun class filled with dry Massage, Baby yoga, smiles, movements, songs and lovely gentle stretches for you and your baby, ending with a chance for your baby to play with lots of toys that are aimed at their ages with a Montessori edge. An added bonus is that I provide a hot drink on arrival with a sweet treat.

𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧-

Ages 1 years to under 4’s.
These classes are full of fun, mess and age appropriate play activities, Messy play, water play, playdough and lots more to work on all areas of development.

For young children, play isn't "just play", it's the foundation of learning.
At Bumble&Bea, our Play to Learn classes are carefully designed to help toddlers explore, develop new skills, and build confidence in a fun, supportive environment.

Baby Massage- 8 weeks to crawling.
In these Halloween special baby massage classes, you and your baby will have the opportunity to enjoy all the benefits of traditional baby massage with a spooky twist. With the classic Bumble&Bea touches, personalised bracelet made by me, Hoyt drink on arrival, tasty treat and everything provided for you.
It’s a fantastic way to bond with your little one while also getting into the spirit of the season.

Tummy time- newborn to crawling.
This class is a perfect way to celebrate Halloween, not only will you have chances to dress your baby up in fun costumes. There are also fun activities to get your little one to enjoy tummy time all while enjoying the classic Bumble&Bea touches.

Massage, stretch and Play- 12 weeks to crawling
The “Massage, Stretch, and Play” class is designed to create a nurturing and soothing experience for both babies and adults. With a gentle start which focus on us, I guide us through stretched to help with back ache. Then Babies will benefit from gentle, dry massage, Baby yoga exercises are then incorporated to help with their flexibility, strength, and coordination. After all that we will gather round the middle and enjoy the rest of our hot drink while our babies play with toys. There will be photo backdrop, costumes and a halloween footprint art work to do and take home.

-Play to Learn- 1 to under 4’s.

A chance to learn some fun movements and stretches for you and your baby, while enjoying a hot drink, a tasty treat, time to chat and make friends. I’m often asked whether I miss being a midwife. The answer is no.

I truly loved my job when I first started. Supporting and empowering women to make choices that were right for them and their families was incredibly rewarding. However, a few years in, I began to feel that I wasn’t able to provide the time and level of care that families deserved, and that was difficult for me.

That’s what led me to create Bumble & Bea. I poured all my love, time, and knowledge into building a space where parents can feel comfortable being themselves, somewhere they can relax, make new friends, learn new skills, and take a moment for themselves.
