An Important Update from The Animal Experience

After many wonderful years of welcoming visitors to our zoo, we wanted to let you know that The Animal Experience will be closing to the public in November this year.

This has been a very difficult decision, but after much thought, Mitch and Hazel have decided it’s time to scale down the business and begin a new chapter.

The good news is that The Animal Experience isn’t disappearing! Our amazing animals will continue to visit people through our popular outreach experiences. You’ll still be able to book us for:

• Children’s parties
• Schools and nurseries
• Care homes
• Youth groups
• Corporate events
• Weddings
• Community events and much more

By focusing solely on outbookings, our animals will enjoy plenty of rest and relaxation between visits, ensuring they continue to receive the very best care while bringing smiles to people of all ages.

We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to every family, volunteer, staff member old and new , supporter and visitor who has shared this incredible journey with us. Your support, kindness and enthusiasm have meant the world, and we’ve loved creating so many special memories together.

We hope you’ll continue to support us as we take The Animal Experience on the road and bring our wonderful animals directly to you.

We’d love to see as many of you as possible before we close our gates in November, so come and make a few more special memories with us!

Our baby sugar glider is growing x
Baby kangaroos are called joeys which is commonly known, but did you know that all marsupials call their babies joeys? The sugar glider is indeed a marsupial, so a baby sugar glider is also called a joey! A group of sugar gliders is called a colony and colonies are common because sugar gliders are very social animals. Colonies can consist of up to 40 sugar gliders!

Bird of Prey Pamper day today - mews jessies for Dobby the barn owl , a beak trim for Juliet the kestrel and Rudi the snowy owl looking beautiful x

Kayleigh and Charlie were entertaining the MacDonalds crew team today with our lovely animals unfortunately we have had to cancel our event tomorow at Soham 33 degrees is just too hot for our lovely animals to come out - they are keeping cool at our centre and we have spaces for our lovely meerkat, reptile and sugar glider experiences throughout the school holidays

Hello!

I just wanted to send an email to say the biggest thank you for the Meerkat experience my friend and I had this morning… it was amazing!!
I didn’t catch the ladies name who stayed with us (sorry!) but she was fabulous!! Her knowledge & care was outstanding!!
I was stepping out of my comfort zone massively - and she made me feel so at ease… I have now fallen in love with Meerkats!!!! 🙂
This was on my friends bucket list - and he had the best time!! A massive thank you to her for the photos she took for us… we will treasure them always!! Xx
