I was once called 'the worst childminder ever.'
We do have one tablet computer and a switch to play games, with each child getting 10 minutes...so we aren't completely outdated with technology...
But hear this..., I'm ok with being 'the worst childminder' because this is what you get:
Children using their imaginations
Turn taking
Moving about freely in open space, connection to the earth
Physical touch
Fresh air
Communicating and expressing ideas with one another, different age groups contributing to what they know, working together to create real PLAY just like nature intended!
When children are given the opportunity to be creative, explore and be themselves, magic happens.
I would rather be 'the worst' and witness the best,
than have them sucked into screens.
