What a very busy few weeks we have had! ☀️
We have been supporting the children in preparation for their new chapters, discussing their new schools, new friends & teachers!
Some of us have had school visits, & our new teachers visiting us at home too!
We have been enjoying listening to stories all about starting school, especially enjoying “Colour Monster goes to School”

We have had discussions on Summer, including what to wear to keep cool, hats, sun cream, shorts & t shirts!
We have enjoyed water play, especially paddling in our pool outside! 💦
We have been so creative with summer collaging whilst enjoying our book, “All about Summer”
To finish our week we had a fabulous time at our leavers/summer party!
We enjoyed making our party hats, games & dancing!
We will see everyone next week for the final few days of the term! ☀️

What a busy few weeks we have had! ☀️
We have been keeping cool with lots of water play💦 both indoors & outside in our rainbow garden 🌈

We have continued to follow the story of the, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” 🐛 The children have been fascinated as we came into pre school to see our real life caterpillars had made their cacoons. Observing closely we created our very own cacoons using brown paint in our craft area.
We enjoyed working together to problem solve whilst piecing together our large caterpillar floor jigsaw. We did lots of fantastic turn taking with our friends ☀️
This week we have watched as our cacoons turned into beautiful butterflies 🦋
We watched on with awe & excitement as we released them into the garden.
Following on from this we have painted some amazing butterfly pictures!
We have had lots of fun learning all about the lifestyle of the butterfly!

Over the next few weeks we will be focusing on independence, including conversations about the next steps into some of our older children starting school. ☀️

What a fantastic few weeks back we have had! ☀️
Everyone has settled in well & we can’t believe we are now in the final term of the year!
We have started our term with lots of interest in the life cycle of the butterfly 🦋
Supporting this learning we have been intrigued with our very own real life baby caterpillars 🐛
We have carefully been observing & showing curiosity as we have watched them grow each day!

We have enjoyed listening to the story of, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” following on from this we have created our very own caterpillars in our craft area.

On Wednesday our children enjoyed creating their very own England flags 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ready for Englands first game in the World Cup!
Alongside this we have been very lucky to have had a brilliant football session where Sunshines enjoyed passing the ball, practicing kicking the ball & stopping.
All wearing our football kits we all had a wonderful time ⚽️

To finish the week we have been busy creating some amazing master pieces for the special role models in our life’s for Father’s Day. We are very proud of our work!

What a fantastic last few weeks of the term we have had! ☀️
The children have been engrossed in their learning & it has been wonderful to see.
Over the last few weeks we have looked at growth & change. This leading us into looking at the life cycle of flowers and plants.
We have had discussions on how flowers begin as a seed, grow roots, a stalk, leaves and finally their petals. We have been enjoying our story of, “
“Sam plants a sunflower” to support this.
The children’s learning is now embedded as they confidently tell us what their flowers need to grow. “Sunlight & water”.
We have planted our very own seeds that we are very excited to watch grow!
Alongside this our Little Sunshines have been keeping the flowers & plants happy in our beautiful garden.
We have had lots of fun filling the watering cans & keeping the flowers hydrated! 🌷 🪴 🌱
We hope everyone has a wonderful half term break & we will be back Monday 8th June where we begin to look at the life cycle of the butterfly 🦋

What a fantastic start to our Summer term!
There has been so much leaning & fun ☀️
The children have taken a great interest in mini beast, we have enjoyed our story “Mad about mini beast”
We have taken great care in identifying each mini beast in lots of exciting ways. We have explored our mini beast hiding in the tuft tray, we spied each one hiding within the soil.
We have taken our learning outside along with our magnifying glasses & identified lots of mini beast in our garden, bumblebees, ladybirds, snails, Ants & Spiders!
🐝 🐞 🐌 🐜 🕷️
We have followed this on at our creation station in making the most wonderful mini beast of our own. We have used a variety of media, collaging & painting our very own ladybirds, bumblebees & spiders!
We have enjoyed using our fine motor skills whilst moulding spiders with the dough. Counting their legs supporting our mathematical development.
We have added spots to the ladybirds using the dough, counting how many we could see!

We can’t believe we have reached the end of another busy term! ☀️
What a wonderful week we have had!
The children have been super busy creating some amazing keepsakes for our families.
We have explored our Easter themed tuft tray, looking for the hidden chicks! 🐣

Little Sunshines also enjoyed collaging our giant egg using lots of Easter colours, following on from this we created some beautiful Easter wreaths! They look fantastic! We are very proud of our work ☺️
We have enjoyed listening to our favourite Easter stories with our friends.
We hope everyone has a restful Easter break, we will be back Monday 20th April for another fun packed term ☀️

We have had a delightful few weeks at our wonderful Pre-school ☀️
Last week we looked very closely at how we can take care of our teeth! We had lots of conversations at circle times of the importance of teeth brushing. We used large pictures of teeth in our tuft tray to practice brushing teeth using real life tooth brushes and shaving cream.
Furthermore we transformed our role play area into a dentist surgery. The children were very excited to dress up, taking turns to become a dentist ensuring great care in checking each other’s teeth.
Supporting this we arranged a visit from Traffords Oral hygienist. She delivered an engaging & interactive work shop for our children on the importance of keeping our teeth happy.
This has been a fantastic opportunity to familiarise our Little Sunshines with visiting their own dentist 🪥 🦷

This week we have continued to look at Spring. We have taken a closer look at our beautiful environment and spotted daffodils growing in our gardens. We have taken a look & enjoyed creating our very own daffodils.
We have looked closely at our books filled with spring flowers and enjoyed time in our rainbow garden! 🌼
