🎄 Our Festive Parent Carer Wellbeing Day Magdalen Farm is Back.

We are delighted to share that our much-loved Parent Carer Wellbeing Day at Magdalen Farm is returning this year!

This year's programme will be different from last year, giving parent carers the opportunity to enjoy a festive day of creativity, relaxation, and connection in the beautiful surroundings of Magdalen Farm.

During the day you'll enjoy: 🎄 Making a Christmas wreath
🌿 Creating a festive table decoration
🧴 Making a hand/body scrub to take home
🔥 Mulled apple juice by the fire
🍽️ Lunch included

Our friendly SPCF reps will be there to welcome you and help make the day enjoyable and relaxing. This event is open to parent carers of children and young people with SEND (up to age 25) and provides a wonderful opportunity to take some time for yourself while connecting with other parent carers who understand the journey.

We don't want cost to be a barrier. Financial support is available to help everyone take part, and an off-road Tramper is available to support accessibility around the site.

We are excited to be hosting two fantastic Christmas Fairs this year, and we're looking for local crafters, businesses, makers and community groups to join us!

🎟 We kindly ask that each stall donates an item towards our Christmas raffle.

This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your products, support our schools and be part of two magical community events filled with festive cheer!

🚐 Could You Help Change a Young Person’s Day? 💙

Do you have some spare time, enjoy driving, and want to give something back to your local community?

The Bower Learning Partnership is looking for caring, reliable people to join our team as Bank Minibus & Van Drivers or Volunteer Drivers, supporting children and young people attending Polden Bower School in Bridgwater and Avalon School in Street.

For many of our pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), a safe journey to school, a therapeutic appointment, work experience placement, educational visit or community activity can make all the difference. Our drivers play a vital role in helping children and young people access the opportunities they deserve.

This opportunity is ideal for those who are retired, semi-retired, work flexibly, or have a few spare hours each week and would like to make a meaningful difference locally. Whether you're looking for paid work or would like to volunteer your time, we'd love to hear from you.

✅ Paid bank staff opportunities available (Grade 14)
✅ Volunteer roles also welcomed
✅ Full training and support provided
✅ Flexible opportunities to suit your availability
✅ Help local children and families thrive

🌿 JUST ACT NATURAL: SEND Family Day Visit at Magdalen Farm 🌿

Join the Magdalen Farm Team on Sunday 26th October for a wonderful day out at Magdalen Farm designed exclusively for families with children and young people (up to age 25) with SEND.

Spend the day:
🍂 Exploring the beautiful farm
🌿 Taking part in outdoor activities
🤝 Connecting with other SEND families
🍽️ Enjoying delicious meals (with dietary requirements catered for)
