A productive training day focused on creating enabling environments.

Today we spent time reflecting on how our environments truly support the children’s learning and development. As part of our preparation for the new half term, each room has been thoughtfully refreshed and reorganised with intentionality and purpose.

We considered how our spaces promote independence, spark curiosity, and invite sustained shared thinking. Resources have been reviewed to ensure they are accessible, open-ended, and responsive to children’s current interests and developmental stages.

Our aim is to create environments that act as the ‘third teacher’ — nurturing exploration, supporting schemas, and encouraging children to make independent choices in their learning.

We’re looking forward to observing how the children engage with the changes and how the environment continues to evolve in response to their ideas and interests.

⭐️ FEBRUARY HOLIDAY CLUB ⭐️

We enjoyed a jam-packed week celebrating Pancake Day, Chinese New Year and the Winter Olympics!

We have been busy…

🥞 designing our own pancakes

🥞 choosing toppings to decorate our pancakes with and enjoyed eating them

🥞 exploring the tuff tray with pancake ingredients
