Another wonderful home educators workshop at The Tank Museum.

This time exploring wartime life leading upto and during VE day. We learned about wartime jobs on home soil, rationing, and what day to day living looked like in WW2.

Definitely recommend a visit! It is such an interactive day out, with over 300 tanks and armoured vehicles!

Earlier this week the boys attended a home education day at The Tank Museum based around Tank Tech: The Science and Engineering Behind WW2 Armour. A great STEM day, accompanied by Daddy, with his own incites into life driving Tanks in the modern day military! A trip to the seaside for good measure and sea air too!

Brilliant afternoon at University of Birmingham for their Home Educators outreach event. Yesterday we took a browse around Lapworth Museum of Geology, University of Birmingham and recapped our knowledge on fossils, earth processes, fossils and evolution. This was a great hour of revision and hands on learning before we headed to the event.
"Hunting the Higgs" with Dr Sam Gregson was a fantastic, interactive learning experience taking us on the journey of discovery of the Higgs Boson. It gave a great understanding into the work of particle physicists, and CERN LHC. Turns out smashing the universe into its tiniest building blocks is cool 😎 Thanks for a great evening!
