Connections Educational Centre is looking for a calm, patient tutor to join our team from September.

We’re a fully resourced centre working with children aged 4–11, and we believe in a screen-free, child-led approach to learning so we’re looking for someone who shares that philosophy and brings genuine warmth, patience, and accountability to their teaching.

✨ What we’re offering:
📍 £20 per hour
📍 Flexible, choose your own hours (after-school sessions)
📍 Qualified teachers only
📍 Fully resourced centre — all materials provided

Some bittersweet news from us 🌷
In September we say goodbye to our wonderful play therapist who has been such a lovely part of Connections. We’ll miss her dearly and so will the families she’s worked with 💕

Which means her beautiful room is looking for its next person.
And here’s the thing: we already have families asking us about play therapy. If you’re a play therapist (or a speech & language therapist, counsellor, OT or educational psychologist) looking for a calm, child-friendly base, you wouldn’t be starting from scratch here. There are families waiting to meet you.

SEAG Tip: The one that trips everyone up 👀
He is the (tall / taller / tallest) of the two brothers.
Most children pick “tallest” and it’s wrong!

Here’s the rule we teach at Connections:
Two things? Use -er. → taller
Three or more? Use -est. → tallest
There are only TWO brothers, so he’s the taller of the two.

The SEAG loves this question because it tests whether children know the rule, not just what sounds right. Practise it with “the faster of the two cars” or “the older of my two cousins” and it’ll stick. 🌷
