Knockavoe School

I wish to thank all parents and carers who attended our 14+ Transition Event today. A special thank you also to Róisín, Janet and Lauren, from our Transitions teams at EA, WHSCT and the Career's Service.

We unfortunately had to cut the information session short, due to unforeseen circumstances, however we are hoping to arrange more transition events throughout the school year, which we encourage you to attend - particularly the EA Transitions Fair in January.

Please also know that if there are any queries or support needs re: transitions, parents are more than welcome to call into the school and make an appointment to speak to your child's class teacher, or to the Head of KS4 and Post-16, David Loughrey.

For further support and signposting, please click the link below, to go to our school website for resources, How To Guides and further advice on transitions.

I also wish to take this opportunity to thank all of our students' parents and families for their continued support and co-operation, as we work together to build a brighter future, for all of our pupils, where they can SHINE! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thank you,
David.

💛

It’s World Mental Health Day and this year the theme is all about sharing lived experiences and being heard. 🌍🗣️

Conversations about who are and how we feel can make a real difference to our happiness and mental health.

They help us feel understood and build intimacy and connection. Building good relationships is a key part of happier living.

So today, start a conversation and make time to really listen.
Without jumping in or waiting to speak, give someone your full attention.

You never know the difference you might make to someone’s day. Every conversation matters. ❤️
