St Eugene's PS had a much needed revamp over the summer holidays 💙. Doesn't everywhere look so fresh and clean now? The only thing missing to make it perfect is our boys and girls. We are so looking forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday. 😃

Is your child starting pre-school or primary school this September? 🎒

There are lots of simple ways you can help your child feel ready and confident for starting school.

💬 Talk together about what their new school or setting might be like before they start. This can help ease worries and build excitement.

📖 Why not visit your local library and let your child choose a book that interests them? Sharing stories together helps children feel content, secure and confident, while also supporting important language and communication skills.

Remember, you don't have to read every word! Looking at the pictures, talking about the story and asking questions are all great ways to enjoy books together.

Such a special afternoon spent at Holy Cross College today. We would like to thank Fr Seán for inviting us, Bishop Donal and all the clergy for a beautiful ceremony, Mr Johnston, his staff and sixth form students for the warm welcome and for all of the hard work that went into today. St Eugene's PS is delighted to have a statue of St Carlos Acutis enroute to Victoria Bridge that was Blessed today by Bishop Donal. Thank you Fr Seán for arranging these statues for the schools of Melmount and Sion Mills Parishes - they will be a big part of our schools for many years to come. Staff return to St Eugene's tomorrow to prepare for the arrival of all the boys and girls on Tuesday 1st of September.

🍼 Wonderful News from Our School Family! 👶

We are absolutely delighted to share some joyful news with our school community!

This day two weeks ago, our lovely P2/3 teacher Mrs O'Donnell and her husband welcomed a precious little boy into the world, baby Conn O'Donnell! 💙

We send our warmest congratulations to the happy parents on the safe arrival of their beautiful son. We hope you are all settling nicely into life as a family of three and enjoying these magical early days of newborn snuggles.

Please join us in sending the O'Donnell family all our love, prayers, and best wishes. May God bless baby Conn with a lifetime of health, happiness, and abundant love.
