Success North West Programme is now taking expressions of interest for the:
✅ FREE Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry (RQF)
✅ SIA Licence

This qualification can open up employment opportunities in a range of security roles, including:
🔹 Offices
🔹 Factories
🔹 Warehouses
🔹 Corporate Buildings
🔹 Reception Areas
🔹 Retail Stores
🔹 Building Sites
🔹 Mobile Patrols
🔹 Pubs & Clubs

Course Details
🕤 9.30am – 5.00pm each day
📖 7-day course
✔️ Attendance on all days is compulsory
📅Dates to be confirmed

Before the course begins, you will need to complete:
✅ Emergency First Aid Training
✅ ACT (Action Counters Terrorism) Training
These will be arranged for you.

Eligibility Criteria - you must:
✔️ Live in the Derry City & Strabane District Council area.
✔️ Be economically inactive, for example:
✔️Not currently in work or looking for work
✔️Have a disability or long-term health condition
✔️Be a carer
✔️Be caring for family at home or a child under 2
✔️Be a student
✔️Be retired
✔️Be a person not in education, employment or training (NEET)

❌ You must not be receiving Jobseeker's Allowance or the unemployed element of Universal Credit.

The following subjects will be taught on this course:

Adult resuscitation (CPR)
Burns and scalds
Adult Choking
Communication and casualty care
Defibrillator prompts
Defibrillator pad placement
Minor and severe bleeding
Role of the first aider
Seizures
Shock
Unresponsive Adult
Life-threatening bleeding

Makaton Level 1 is the foundational workshop in the Makaton Communication Programme, providing a practical introduction to using signs and symbols. In roughly 6 hours, participants learn over 140 core vocabulary signs/symbols (Stages 1–2 + additional) related to everyday life. It is suitable for beginners, including parents, caregivers, and professionals.

Course will be held in Derry

Course runs from 9.30am to 5pm. Attendance for all days is compulsory.

*Please Note* You will need to complete Anti terrorism training and first aid prior to starting the course. We will arrange for this.

This is a 7-day course.

Offices, Factories, Warehouses, Corporate, Reception Areas, Shops, Building Sites, Mobile Patrols, Pubs, Clubs etc) This will allow you to get an SIA licence to work as a door supervisor or a security office.
