🛒💚Great News – Abbot’s Hall School early years garden project has been chosen for Tesco Stronger Starts! 💚🛒

We're delighted to share that we have been selected for the Tesco Stronger Starts blue token scheme!

📅 The scheme runs from 3rd August until the end of November.

Every time you shop in Tesco, please remember to collect your blue token at the checkout and pop it into the Abbot’s Hall Primary School voting box.

💚We'd also love you to tell your friends, family, neighbours and colleagues—every single token makes a difference!

🗳️ How does it work?
🛒 When customers pay at the till, they receive a blue plastic token.
They then place their token into one of three voting boxes near the store exit, choosing which local project they would like to support.

🏆 What's at stake?
Every shortlisted project receives funding, but the amount depends on the number of customer votes received:
🥇 1st Place: £1,500
🥈 2nd Place: £1,000
🥉 3rd Place: £500

🌳 If we receive the most votes, we'll win £1,500, which will go towards improving our school's Early Years outdoor spaces for all of our children to enjoy.

⭐️ Abbot’s Hall have been awarded £500 from the Stowmarket Environment fund ⭐️

We are raising funds to help create a high-quality outdoor environment in our Early Years Foundation Stage setting. Features such as a bike track, willow trees and natural play areas. The aim is to create a sensory garden which will offer children opportunities to explore different textures, sounds, scents and colours, promoting language development, curiosity and emotional wellbeing, particularly for children with additional sensory needs.

This is a fantastic contribution towards what is planned to be achieved.

What an amazing way to end the school year with the school colour run! It's safe to say all the children very much enjoyed it. An amazing £3,300 was raised to go towards our school. Thank you to Mrs Brown and Mrs Scrivener for organising.

Thank you to the Friends of Abbot's Hall Primary School for a fabulous leavers disco for our year 6's 🕺💃🎼🪩🎊

Our year 6's have now left primary, through the balloon arch and onto pastures new at their new secondary schools. We would like to wish them all the best for their new schools.

Its been a pleasure having you all at Abbot's and we know you will carry on being the 'Best That You Can Be' 🌟

Please see PE days for the first half of autumn Term. Please can we also remind you that Indoor PE sessions require children to wear black shorts, White Tshirt and trainers. For outdoor session black shorts and Tshirts can be worn, for colder months black tracksuit bottoms/black leggings, white T Shirts, black hoodie style top and trainers are allowed.
Please could these be plain with minimal logos. NO jewellery is permitted, if children would like their ears pierced we suggest having these done at the beginning of the holidays so that when we return they can be removed at home on PE days, long hair must be tied up.

Every term, children who have been on gold have their names put into a draw. Names are chosen at random at the end of term and those lucky children receive a treat of time with Mr Pettitt and Mrs Flory. Well done to everyone for achieving gold this term🌟
