Wishing so much luck to Mrs Sampson who is taking part in the Great Wall of China Trek in a couple of weeks to raise money for breast cancer awareness charity, .
We were delighted to support her fundraising efforts and would like to thank our school community for raising over £1000 through the Year 9 Enterprise project and a bake sale kindly stocked by our brilliant parents and students.
Best of luck in September!

It was great to learn that Charlie has been nominated for the Schools Rugby Awards, Player of the Year. We've watched Charlie's combination of character and skill take him from strength to strength over recent years. He's up against some strong competition, but this recognition is well deserved and he certainly gets our vote!

There's no better way to learn about the phases of the moon than with an Oreo biscuit!
Last term Year 7 were learning about moon phases and the solar eclipse with Miss Ford ahead of tonight's eclipse which we're all eagerly awaiting!
Year 10 students also had a bit of fun creating homemade pinhole cameras for safe viewing.
Let us know how you viewed the solar eclipse in the comments!

Art Club have been having a Highland Cow themed day today! The children loved creating these wonderful clay cows, complete with horns and wavy coats. In the afternoon they tried their hand at gradated painting and refined their drawing techniques to create beautiful highland cow canvas pieces. We can't wait to see what they'll be up to for the rest of the week. Spaces still available. Please book via our website: https://www.finboroughschool.co.uk/community/community-engagement/holiday-club/

Last term Prep School Art Teacher, Mrs Bedford, took Prep 6 to the Henry Moore Foundation in Hertfordshire for a day of sculpture drawing to bring their learning to life.
Henry Moore was one of Britain's most celebrated sculptors, famous for his large bronze sculptures inspired by the human figure and the natural world. He believed that everyone should have the chance to experience art, and that creativity grows through making and exploring.
The Foundation's education programme encourages children to think creatively and experiment with 2D and 3D forms, discovering how everyday objects and nature can inspire great art. It was wonderful to see the children reflecting on their learning surrounded by his work.
