Hands in the air if you’re excited for your performance next week! 🙌🏻
We’ve had some intense practice sessions this week, getting bands really confident for their upcoming performances. They have parts and structures and crowd participation to remember too!
But over the next few weeks as they experience the buzz of playing live to a crowd, all that practice will be worth it 😁

We firmly believe that a big part of teaching is the energy we bring to it. If we’re excited, enthusiastic and keen to get stuck in, then our students can match that energy back!
It’s a two way street and their hard work and dedication leads to some pretty awesome results like this 🤩

Another rocking week complete for our Band Academy students! 🎸🤘🏻
It’s been great to get sessions back underway after the Easter holidays and the bands are working hard to make the Summer term their best yet!

Reflecting on an amazing term and looking back at some feedback that made our day! 🙌🏻
It’s crazy to think that we’re coming into the final term of the school year but we’re busy prepping to make it the best one yet. We’ve got new songs, big performances and lots to learn along the way.

Introducing The Spicy Chicken Nugget Gang 🙌🏻
We captured this a few weeks ago on world book day, hence the fantastic range of outfits on display. These guys have since rocked out their first ever performance so we can share this from one of their practice sessions!
We mapped out this idea for their singalong section and during their performance we had a room full of people singing it back to the band 🎤

We’ve got a busy few weeks ahead with lots of performances for our awesome bands. For some these will be in person with family invited in and for others it’s their turn for a video performance that can be shared with family at home 🏠

Our students have certainly not had a January slump, bringing lots of energy and enthusiasm to their sessions. With lots of students preparing for their next performance we’ve seen some fantastic progress and songs starting to take shape!
We’re very excited for students to have a spotlight to show off the new skills they’ve been working so hard on 🤘🏻
Some great playing from a session this morning, working on playing a strong rhythm whilst keeping speed 🥁
It’s easy to associate strong with fast and soft with slow so to combine the opposites can be a challenge!
