Compulsory Training: 4th February - 4th March 2022
Employment: March - September 2022 (potential to extend)
30 hours per week

Who we are looking for:

Highly organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic, qualified, native English speaking teachers. You must have at least 6 months teaching experience and a minimum of 120 hour TEFL qualification issued by a reputable institution which cannot be an online qualification.

Job purpose:

ESL Teachers are responsible for applying prescribed lesson plans and delivering enjoyable English classes to International students, at our new and exciting English Language and Activity Centre located in the stunning North Yorkshire countryside. With future opportunities to work at our other venues throughout the UK and Europe.

Key Tasks:

* Be adaptable as our teachers teach 6 hours a day 5 days a week and are expected to lesson plan in the evenings as well as help out with excursions when not teaching

* Supervise excursions and ensure groups leave/ arrive on time, as well as ensuring entrance times are met

* Oversee the safety and wellbeing of children, and accompanying adults participating in EFL lessons

* Plan and oversee ‘placement tests’ (where applicable) to gauge the student’s abilities.

* To mark the above-mentioned test, inform students of the results and their subsequent group placement

* Create student profiles and update on a daily basis.

* Liaise with other EFL teachers and visiting group leaders in order to structure the classes suitably and consistently

* Prepare lessons for the duration of the allocated ESL time (in relation to the group programme where possible and when time allows). This must take into account the variety of resources available.

* Carry out lessons according to your pre-arranged plan.

* Write student reports where appropriate and award them a Certificate of Attendance at the end of their last lesson or an Anglia Examination certificate if they have passed a module.

Responsible for running the day-to-day indoor/outdoor activity sessions, excursions at our new and exciting English Language and Activity Centre located in the stunning North Yorkshire countryside. With future opportunities to work at our other venues throughout the UK and Europe.

Job purpose:

Introduce guests to a variety of indoor/outdoor activities, delivered in a safe and enjoyable activity sessions of approximately 12 students per group. We will train you in National Governing Body awards for such activities as Kayaking, Archery, any rope activities training will then be assessed by an external assessor. You will also complete in-house training for many more activities broadening your own experience and developing numerous transferable skills to prepare you for term time and summer group visits.

You will also be responsible for the pastoral care of the guests, organising evening entertainment and liaising with the visiting group teachers/leaders.

Job purpose:

To oversee the effective operations to deliver a first-class customer experience from their pre-arrival communication, their on-centre experience through to their departure and feedback.

To provide a safe working environment and ex*****on of company standards to ensure that all aspects of our groups on and off-centre experience is first-class; prioritising health, safety, security and safeguarding of our guests.

To lease directly with the centre’s School/ College support team to ensure the centre is always fully operational.

To plan and support the wider operations on centre, mentoring a positive, respectful environment where all work together to offer the best experience for our customers.
