⚽️ GOAL FOR A GOOD CAUSE! ⚽️

Our Year 10 students were recently issued a challenge to turn £10 into as much profit as possible for a charity of their choice. Taking the challenge in their stride, the brilliant minds of 10SMC wrangled up a line-up of brave staff members to host an epic charity football match in aid of Nightstop a fantastic charity that directly supports our school community!

Students stayed after school to cheer on their favourites, creating an incredible atmosphere and helping to raise a fantastic £143! 🎉

It was an absolute thriller from start to finish, ending in a nail-biting 4-3 victory to SHS FC, captained by Mr. Rhodes Jones!

Huge congratulations to Roxie J and Larna R for an incredible achievement! 🌟

After spending their entire half term competing at the All England Dance Regional Finals in Cheltenham, they have officially qualified for the National Finals in Eastbourne this summer! 🏆

Representing Academy Theatre Arts, they qualified a massive 10 group dances (Tap, Character, Greek, Ballet, and Contemporary). Roxie also qualified a contemporary trio and a musical theatre solo making her one of just 14 performers chosen out of thousands nationwide! 🎤✨

All of this while training every single night, and rehearsing to star as Sandy (Roxie) and Frenchy (Larna) in Kody’s production of Grease at the Rose Theatre in just two weeks! 🎭🎸

Your dedication and hard work is next level, girls. We are so incredibly proud of you! ❤️ Keep shining! 🌟

Recently Year 10 Physics students took part in the Intermediate Physics Challenge run by the British Physics Olympiad. It is a fiendishly hard exam paper, normally designed for Yr 11 students, testing their problem solving skills on scenarios they have never encountered before, but they all showed a great deal of resilliance and came away with some amazing results.

A special shout out goes to Aurelia B and Hannah P who achieved a Silver Award, something only the top 15% of the country achieve.

Our Year 12 Criminology and Psychology students had an incredible experience at the University of Worcester during their interactive Who Dunnit? day 🔍
Students were fully immersed in a live investigation, from listening to a 999 call and analysing police bodycam footage, to securing a forensic scene in the university’s specialist house and labs.
They examined real-style evidence including fingerprints, blood spatter, and footprints, before stepping into the role of criminal profilers. Working together, they explored motives, analysed suspects, and pieced together the case.
The day was a fantastic opportunity to bring criminology and psychology together, while also giving students valuable insight into careers within the Criminal Justice System.

A huge thank you to the University of Worcester for hosting such an engaging and inspiring experience.

The SHS cricketers enjoyed their trip to New Road yesterday to watch England Lions vs. South Africa A. The rain tried its best to ruin the day but eventually we saw some exceptional international standard cricket 🏏

🌟 Proudly Representing Our School Community! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to share that our staff are playing an active role in shaping the future of our local area! The first meeting of the Stourport Vision Steering Group took place on Thursday 21st May, bringing together representatives from Stourport-on-Severn Town Council, Wyre Forest District Council, Worcestershire County Council, and local community and business groups.

The first meeting of the Stourport Vision Steering Group took place on Thursday 21st May 2026. The steering group brings together representatives from Stourport-on-Severn Town Council, Wyre Forest District Council and Worcestershire County Council, plus local community and business groups.

Together they will look at the interventions contained within the Stourport Vision document, and how those can be turned into reality with the focus of making Stourport an even better place to live, work and visit.
