We have been celebrating St Patrick's Day this week. We have learned about why the Leprechaun hid his gold at the end of a rainbow, played with the Leprechaun and rainbow role play, joined in with some Irish dancing, sang a shanmrock song, listetned to Irish folk music, finger painted a Leprechaun, made party hats to celebrate and had an 'Irish Flag' snack! We have also enjoyed dressing up as princesses and firefighters and visited a local play park to help us learn about our local environment, jumped in muddly puddles and enjoyed some Dough Disco to strengthen our finger muscles readying us for writing. We will all sleep well this weekend (hopefully!).

Lots of interesting fine motor activities this week to get our finger muscles strong for writing and to aid our hand eye co ordination skills. A colander and spaghetti can make for lots of fun. The children said they were making 'spikey hedgehogs'. We've also had fun outside discovering which surfaces chalk will write on.

We learned about and celebrated St David's Day. We made leeks which was great for our cutting and fine motor skills. We enjoyed using the hole punch and tying knots. We also celebrated World Book Day sharing lots of books and rhymes and enjoying the traditional Tale 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'.
