Year 1 & Year 2 Visit Wild Zoological Park! ๐ฆ๐
What an unforgettable day our Daffodils class had at Wild Zoological Park!
We were incredibly lucky to visit this wonderful non-profit animal park, dedicated to wildlife conservation and educating future generations about the importance of protecting our amazing planet.
The animal shows were absolutely fantastic! We were thrilled to get up close and personal with a raptor during the dinosaur show, and the spectacular flying bird display left us all in awe as around 70 birds soared freely above and around us. It truly was a breathtaking experience!
There were plenty of smiles and laughter as we fed the lorikeets, enjoyed some peaceful mindfulness time with the lemurs, and explored the park, answering lots of interesting questions along the way. Every activity gave us the chance to learn something new while making wonderful memories together.
A huge thank you to everyone at Wild Zoological Park for such an inspiring and educational day. We all had an absolutely fantastic time and canโt wait to share everything weโve learnt!

โช Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 had a wonderful walk to Holy Cross Church in Bobbington today, where they were warmly welcomed by Reverend Richard and Jane.
The children enjoyed learning all about the features of a church, exploring the different areas inside, and discovering what each part is used for. They asked some fantastic questions and loved finding out more about the church's history and its role in the local community.
A huge thank you to Reverend Richard and Jane for giving our pupils such an engaging and informative visit. It was a brilliant learning experience that brought our classroom learning to life! ๐
After being oversubscribed for Reception 2026, we now have 1 place available.
Please contact the school office for further information.
Please share. Thank you

โ๏ธ What a scorcher of a week at Corbett Primary School! ๐ฆ๐
With temperatures soaring, we stayed open by making sure everyone stayed cool while still having lots of fun!
๐ฆถ Our classrooms turned into mini spas, with children enjoying putting their feet in cool water trays under their desks and Buttercups having a spa day on the patio โ definitely the most relaxing lessons of the year! ๐
๐ฆ There were plenty of smiles as the hose pipe came out for a refreshing spray at lunchtimes, helping everyone beat the heat.
๐ถ Even Rosa joined in the fun, happily cooling down with a delicious ice lolly of her own!
๐ฆ A huge thank you to all our wonderful parents who kindly bought ice lollies for every child and Mr & Mrs Milner-Norton who put the large gazebo up to give us some shade. Your generosity helped make the week extra special and was very much appreciated.
๐ง And what better way to finish the week than with an epic water fight! There were lots of squeals, laughter and very soggy children (and staff) to end a fantastic week together.
As well as having lots of fun, we also took time to learn about staying safe. Mrs Perry delivered a very important assembly on water safety, helping our children understand how to enjoy water safely and make sensible choices around rivers, lakes, canals and the seaside, especially during the hot weather.
It has been a week full of smiles, laughter and fantastic memories that our children will remember for years to come. Sometimes the best learning happens through shared experiences, and this week certainly gave us plenty of those!
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend โ hopefully with a chance to stay cool! โ๏ธ๐
