Hi everyone.

I have a few places left for the Summer term in KS3 and iGCSE groups. I also have now opened enrolment for two new classes that will start in September 2022: a one-year iGCSE English Language course, covering Edexcel Spec B, and a new two-year GCSE English Literature class.

All classes include optional weekly homework, which is marked with feedback, and termly assessments. For iGCSE and GCSE courses these come in the form of online invigilated mock exams.

So nice to come back from holiday to find such kind words from one of my students...

So, so proud of my GCSE tutees after yesterday. After a very strange year, they have achieved some excellent results. 100% passes for all of them and some fabulous improvements over the course of the year.

These children have kept working hard, despite schools being closed, bubbles being sent home and constant changes. One of my tutees had just 24 days in school in Year 11!! But despite all of this, they have attained some great results.

Well done!!!

Just a few spaces left in my live online classes for the Autumn term!

Super proud of my A-level tutee, who acheived an incredible A* for English Literature A-Level yesterday! Well done!

Just GCSE / iGCSE to go!

Good luck to everyone for tomorrow!!!

I’ll be back at work on the 5th January.

Wishing you all a very merry and safe Christmas!

Hi all - I have a couple of places left in two of my KS3 classes in January: Wednesdays 11.30am and Thursdays 9.15am. We will be learning about different types of Creative Writing and improving our Creative Writing skills.

To find out more, take a look at my website (englishelephant.co.uk) or get in touch - although I will be checking messages less regularly now it is Christmas time.

A clever friend has made this as part of her university studies, and I think it is just about perfect for our times.

With so much uncertainty and the constantly shifting boundaries, so many of the children I work with are feeling understandably anxious and stressed. Looking after our mental well-being is so important.

Focus on what you can control; give yourself time to think and relax and unwind; be kind to your mind.

Thanks for allowing me to share, Kate X

I am so excited! Not only is it Christmas, but I have a fabulous new website! Check it out!
