Year 2 have been using their knowledge of number bonds to help them count up to (and beyond) the nearest ten - up to any number within 100. To help them solve problems practically, they have been using tens frames and counters.

At Ham Di**le, we really value the importance of reading and with the help of Friends of HD have been able to invest in our new library! The children love it and we know it is a special place that takes children into new worlds and adventures!

The old uniform is now on its way to help children in Gambia as part of our work with Project Gambia! Thank you for your donations and thank you to Bev for coming to collect the uniform. Last night we had a brilliant time at the Disco! We loved singing and dancing to the songs. As ever, a big thank you to all the adults who gave up their time to help - whether that be collecting snacks beforehand, or helping out on the day. We have our first fully funded community based parenting support programme that is available for families.

The Circle of Security Programme is an attachment based programme and is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

We know how important it is to be in school and we are delighted to share that our strong school attendance has been recognised by FFT with us receiving a couple of certificates! We are always looking at initiatives to improve attendance and this year we are really focusing on 'Miss school, miss out on...' There's always so much going on in school, we don't want anyone to miss out!

Over the last couple of weeks we have held a number of workshops for parents and carers to come into school to find out more about how we do things at Ham Di**le. We have had sessions on handwriting, MTC, phonics, SATs and Maths! Working together to support children really helps to bring out the best in everyone!
