✨ Potty & Toilet Training Support for Families.

There comes a time for all of our families to begin thinking about toilet training. Perhaps you’re considering when to start, thinking ahead to the future, or you’ve already started and your child is finding it a little tricky.

Are you unsure when the right time is to begin? Not quite sure how to get started? Or would you simply like some extra guidance and reassurance along the way? Please know that you don’t have to do it alone!

Every child is different, and toilet training can take time, patience and plenty of encouragement.

We will work closely with you at nursery to provide consistent support, routines and encouragement, helping your child to feel confident and comfortable as they develop their toileting independence.

If you have started toilet training and your child is struggling, please don’t worry. We can work together to understand what they may be finding difficult and agree on strategies that we can use consistently at nursery and at home. If you would like some additional support, advice or simply want to talk things through, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

REMINDER: Accessing funding from 1 September?

If you would like to access your Working Parent funding entitlement starting from 1 September, you must apply through the Government’s Childcare Service and obtain a valid eligibility code by 31 August.

We strongly recommend applying now / 4 weeks before the deadline. This allows time to complete the application and resolve any issues that may arise ✨

To apply, you will need to:

✅Create or log in to your Childcare Account
✅Complete the eligibility questions
✅Receive your eligibility decision
✅Obtain your 11-digit eligibility code
✅Give the code to your Nursery Manager, who will check its validity using the ✅Government’s eligibility checking system

Please don’t leave your application until the deadline ✨The deadlines are strict (31st August deadline for 1st September : 31st December deadline for 1st January : 31st March deadline for 1st April each year)

🏗️✨ Renovation Update – Exciting Progress at Shooting Stars Stourbridge! ✨🏗️
We're delighted to share that our top-floor renovation project is progressing really well and remains on track for completion towards the end of August.
Work is now underway to transform the two-bedroom apartment on the top floor into a brand-new nursery space. Once complete, our Pre-School children will move into their exciting new environment, creating an even more focused and inspiring space to support their learning, independence and preparation for school.
This move will also allow us to enhance the rest of the nursery. The current Pre-School room will be redeveloped into a dedicated transition area, making it even easier for children to move safely between their indoor learning environment and the garden, while also providing valuable office and storage space to support the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.
Throughout the project, our priority remains the same – ensuring children continue to enjoy a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment with as little disruption as possible. Most of the larger works are being completed at weekends so that nursery life can continue as normal during the week.
We'll continue to share updates as the transformation takes shape, and we can't wait to show you the finished result later this summer!
